Edwards only moved to Sporting in January 2022 from his first Portuguese (also in top league) club, so not that surprised - he's more likely to be bought by clubs when he has say 2 years left on his contract - especially with Spurs still holding a big sell on % meaning Sporting will not keep all transfer fee. So no surprise he's not moved (again) quickly regardless of his ability

But you were on record as saying you wanted to close the academy down.
And a number of other posters remember that, so I'm not sure we have all dreamt it.
But on the practical side, if there is a manager like Poch who fails to develop youngsters from the academy .... guess what...... none are playing in the first team. Nothing to do with Spurs academy and all to do with the manager at the time (remembering it takes about 5 years to get a youngster through to first team)
