Not sure why we would loan out Alfie and donkey. Why give them minutes in pre season if not going to use them. We lose HG trained players as well. I’d rather Alfie than skipp and I’d keep donley as he is left footed and can play left midfield. Plus will we be spending money on say kwp or Edward’s to fill the HG trained quota. If we did that we would still have more deadwood to get rid off in the future. I’m sure donley is physically stronger than Edward’s anyway. If we do buy either one of them then we will be wasting money when we could use that elsewhere.

Where has Chiesa had availability or off field/personality problems?
He played around 50 games last season, so availability isn't an issue. Off field? Nothing I can see. On field? He's described as fast, talented and hard working.
If the above are questionable attributes, I'd be fascinated to know what you think are unquestionable.

Referring to Alfie and Donley. They deserve a chance to prove themselves surely. We still have skipp who is not any better than Alfie. We go Werner for left side yet donkey could do a job there perhaps. Just thinking that we should be encouraging our own academy players. BTW Moore cannot go on loan due to age. Young Will may only be kept as cover for CF due to richi crying off all the time with some sort of mysterious injuries.
We won't be signing KWP or Edwards, we'll just name a 24 man squad instead of 25 and additionally still be able to use the likes of Moore, Hall, Abbott, Lankshear etc. who will be on List B. We're fine

Correct, but to beat a player one on one on the wing in the PL, you need acceleration. Kulusevski is a good dribbler, but doesn't often get past his fullback due to his poor acceleration.

We were never going to sign 5-6 players that can make a difference to the starting 11. Where do these expectations come from?
If a team makes 3 signings in a window that immediately changes their starting 11, that's significant movement.
