It’s a tougher call than it seems on the surface.

Eze is the least gamble of all of them and for all we know Gimenez might work out great.

Gyokeres played and scored in the championship so is much less gamble than Gimenez but there is still some risk there.
It's any easy call for me. Doue has massive potential, can play AM or either wing (I'm pretty sure he has even played as a #6 in the past). Gyokeres is one of the best pressers around, a good finisher with great movement, ideal for our striker role.

Vs Gimenez who is slow, cumbersome and only slightly outperformed Troy Parrott playing in one of the best teams in the league plus Eze, who I rate, but isn't an upgrade on an inform Maddison, and can't play on the left in our system, as he cuts in every time.

We only upgrade our 1st 11 significantly in the 1st option IMO and we also get a versatile young player that has potential to be World Class.

Want two strikers come start of season. Not half hearted signings. The real deal. Want us to be challenging for the lot.

Is Gimenez really slow?
Slower than Gyokeres?

I’m not sure

I think there is an argument for buying 2 or 3 really top class players like Eze/ Olise and an Isak or maybe Gyokeres and just making do elsewhere. If that means playing some youngsters or keeping the likes of Davies for the last year of his contract so be it. We need 2 or 3 that push us up a level not 6 or 7 squad types that might improve the depth but do bugger all to improve the 11.
Promote the youngsters. Like gimmenez his scored 6 more goals than Troy this season yet he could cost £40M whereas Troy would be nothing as he is our player. I don’t get why so often we just send players out on loan and then basically look to get rid. Why not bring Troy back send Dane out on loan this year? Troy has done his hard yards he surely deserves a go. Again we bring in an unknown 19 yr old from Argentine for £15M his prbly more mins in the PL than Troy. Why not show a little faith in our own products. We can’t just keep buying unknown punts from abroad thinking they are better than what have in our academy.
