Only way we'd be getting him is if Wolves are fucked by FFP and need to sell and we sort out some sort of payment structure that's dependent on appearances to combat his injury record tbh.

Luckily, there are plenty of players across Europe with the exact profile Neto has but with less injury problems.
They'd probably have just as much Prem playing time as Neto after their first season as well!

Bring Kane back would be the obvious one.
Trouble is we are a team at the moment ,with Kane we are always referred to a one man team, no to Kane. We need a striker definitely but thats not enough. I can’t say I’m happy with any of Solomon, Johnson, Dejan or Werner as our wide men and Son is getting older and a bit more inconsistent so a top wide man would also be needed. Madison needs competition , perhaps One of our younger players stepping up or another purchase. Another central midfielder to replace PEH definitely needed. At least one more full back 2 would be better. I’m not happy about Foster as back up keeper. To just bring in 1 top player wouldn’t make much sense.

Not directly answering your point but in full agreement with its sentiment. I was saying to Deuterz Deuterz that I think we can genuinely critique Kanes performances in big games and clutch moments and his performances are at odds with the centrality of his role at Spurs. He wasn't treated like his peers, and his untouchable status did him no favours. I'd not want to go back down that path no matter how good he is.

With what we could spend that would be a window with 3, maybe 4, OK players ... replacing like for like doesn't improve us anywhere. Swapping PEH for Ross Barkley isn't moving the needle.

Barkley at this moment is a massive upgrade. He is on top of his game and he’d fit perfectly in our system. Some won’t want him for the Chelsea connection but he’s a player I’ve loved watching this season.

Chav connetion doesn't bother me... He's more of a journeyman than a true chav like Gallagher.

However, buying Barkley to me would be like buying Lingard because of his brief hot spell at West Ham..... A shop window stint that likely won't be sustained beyond this season.

Agreed

I'd love it if we could partner him up with Danny Drinkwater, would completely revamp and future proof our midfield

I know its ambitious thinking but he who dares wins
