Skipp is English. We need some of those.

Biss has had 6 or 7 good games for Spurs since joining.

Eze has missed like 200 days out of the past 2 and a bit season. For the min 50 mil he'd cost, no thanks. Same goes for Olise, Neto.

It's actually closer to 200 days in 4 years for Eze.

On average he misses 5 games a season through injury. I think that's not too bad, especially if he's managed through good squad rotation which he should have here and doesn't really have the luxury of at Palace.

I don't think Awoniyi is mid. Really good striker, counts as HG and he upgrades us and allows us to move Richarlison on.

Alas, I don't think Ange wants a striker this summer. I also don't think it's anywhere near top of the priority list as a 6 or two side players are.

same age as richalison, but much worse career goal scoring record , i dont see it. would be another mid signing people call shite week in week out on this forum

Much better record in the Premier League than Richarlison. Gets a goal or assist every 1.3 games. In a terrible Nottm Forest team.

Richarlison gets a goal or assist every 2.2 games. (granted he has played left wing alot)

But I also can't really think of anything Richarlison is better at than Awoniyi. He'd flourish in this system. And if he can be got at a good price, he should definitely be worth throwing money at, especially with the whole HG thing we seem to be lacking in.

Not sure age is much of an issue. He's barely hit his peak. And people are recommending the likes of Gyokeres who's just one year younger.

Saying that, he does seem to be hitting an injury streak. Which is the last thing we'd need.

To compete in europe with a 25 player squad we need 4 Club trained players.

Currently we have 2 players in our squad who are club trained - Austin (3rd GK) and Skipp.

So unless one of your newbies are Walker-Peters or Cirkin (or a very short list of others), the maximum number of players in our squad can be 23 players.
Man City have a 22 man squad this season, same as last I think. I'd rather a 23 man squad with players suitable for our style of play than a 25 man squad with Skipp and Cirkin. No slight on Skipp, but if he's not forcing his way into Ange's plans this season then let him leave and establish himself at a new club.

Love the fact we’re linking ourselves to Nottingham Forest strikers.

Look at what Levy has done to us. We’re the 8th richest club in the world.

We should be fighting for players like Lautaro Martinez and Osimhen, not the Roman Pavlyuchenko’s of 2024.

We could be the richest club in the world. Won't mean shit mate.

We're still Spurs

Unfortunately, we're still the club players like Mbappe laugh at when fans ask him to join us. Players couldn't care less if we're the 8th richest club in the world.

To be honest, we probably could persuade a Lautaro Martinez to come to Tottenham , 2 years left on his contract, Argentine, but we have absolutely no chance with an Osimhen.

That’s very true. Can’t say I blame them either.

I’d be very happy with Martinez, buds with Romero too so probably the best striker we could hope to sign.

Obviously won’t happen though.

I think we are a little way off having the standard of the 22 players Mancity has throughout its squad, let alone those who are suited to our style of play.

We can debate actual numbers, but we probably have maybe 14 players who tick most of the boxes with the rest of our players being compromises in one sense or another (eg Davies and Royal are not bad players, but they are neither perfect back ups as FB's for Ange). And its more likely that we buy say 4 players who tick most of the boxes with compromises on another couple of players (eg less experienced than ideal), so compromises on some players will remain into next season - less than this season though.

Recent signings eg Drag and Werner don’t improve our 11. I get they were Jan buys therefore more limited market but a quarter of a century suggests last summers success was a blip and we can expect more cheap and average buys rather than VDV 2.0

Gyokeres is playing in a pub league, before then he was playing in the Championship. Referring to any aspect of his game as "world class" is insane.

He might be a very good player, but he is unproven at the top level. What makes a good forward in Portugal doesn't necessarily translate to the Premier League, just look at Carlos Vinicius. Scored 24 goals in a season for Benfica, then looked totally out of his depth at Spurs.

The hype around Gyokeres needs to cool.
Okay. We will see how well this holds up next season when he joins Assanal/Chelsea. I will stick to my point, he is a world class player and the best in Portugal

I haven’t seen a player of this quality since Radamel Falcao, I’d say. We aren’t talking about another Vinicius here, or even Darwin. Gyokeres can create chances for himself, which is a trait I can’t say about many strikers in Europe at the moment
