It's crazy that they've made the exact same error as they did with Raya last summer.

It'll get towards the end of the window and when reality hits them that no one is biting at that price and they don't want to lose him on a free, someone will either snap him up on loan with an obligation or they'll settle for 30-40m.

Who the fuck is running that club?

I do get what you're saying but we do need experience and players who are ready now.

Ange Postecoglou does use senior players.

Perisic, Son ,Davies, PEH, Werner, Maddison Bissouma, among others not to mention he would have been happy to have Kane.

Balance is key to a successful team.

I agree that I don't think we sign him though
Yeah I agree with your points but it's only Maddison (then 26) that he's bought per se, from your list.

We seem to be caught in this catch 22 situation where you can't have experience or a ready made player with buying young ambitious players. We bought Veliz and sent him out on a hopeless loan.

Given Ange's quote that I posted from the Spurs website, it seems to me that we'll be going for younger players. Espacially as we already have experience on board.

If we do buy any players in their late 20s or even their 30s then I'll stop paying attention to Ange's comments/quotes on the matter in the future.

By all accounts I think Spurs and Veliz were fucked over on that loan by a manager making a point.

Broadly agree.

In their defence, for a club like Brentford, losing Toney really could spell the difference between a middling league position and a relegation scrap. You’d still expect them to survive, but it could have that impact so they will price him accordingly. And losing him on a free means they’d still have stayed in the PL one more season and got all their ducks in a row.

Taking the money isn’t always the best option.

Well we have Veliz, Scarlett, and Parrott. If we're intending to keep them on the books I don't see the point in getting another young CF. So then we go for an older more established player, which seems to go against the words of Ange that I quoted.

I can't seem to figure out what direction we're going in with regards to a transfer coming in for the CF position.

I'm assuming our main forward line next season will be from left to right, Son, Richarlison, Johnson, with Werner and Kulusevski as options, so we're looking for an understudy for Richarlison? Or are we looking for an established CF to be ahead of Richarlison? Which means we'll have to probably pay big money for someone in their mid 20s or get a wild card from outside of Europe.

Everyone knows their model relies on sales and it’s clear he’s the asset they want to sell.

They want to keep Mbuemo because they saw with Wissa they can survive without Toney and he’s getting on.

West Ham get him for 35 late in August
