How Dry should our Powder be?

Nope. A new 6 isn't going to suddenly make our wingers creative.

The biggest issue is that Son/Johnson/Kulu are not elite wingers.
We won't replace Son this season so I would personally be going all out for the best RW we could find and get Son's replacement next year (maybe the club think Eze is that guy?)
That's more important than replacing Richarlison or Bissouma.
Sadly that doesn't seem to be the plan.

Even if we had Haaland at CF we would struggle with our current crop of wingers.
both wings are shockingly bad. serious lack of quality on both sides. without a doubt its the weak link in the side now. it needs fixing this summer or next season will be a wasted year. the only way i can see the season being ok is if the penny finally drops and he realises he has to play someone like maddison LF or something. because these wingers offer no quality on the ball and the football in the final third fucking stinks.

hes trying to play dominant football with a forward line that isnt capable. you need actual footballers to do that. you can just about get away with using richy in the same way city use haaland, keep him away from the actual football. get him in the box and get the ball near him, thats all you can do with richy. hell pull his weight off the ball with his hounding, but thats all youre gonna get and it will suffice if you actually have wide players with ability.

What positions are they looking at this summer?

Tottenham addressed their lack of cover at centre-back with the signing of Radu Dragusin from Genoa in January. They now want to identify a defensive midfielder and a versatile wide forward who can play at centre forward.

Spurs will also move for players depending on departures. If Emerson Royal leaves, they will focus on a right-back. If they lose Ben Davies, they will go for a left centre-back or a left-back. If Giovani Lo Celsoleaves, Spurs will target an attacking midfielder.

There is still a niggling feeling that a more reliable and clinical centre-forward is required. Richarlison scored 11 goals in 28 appearances last season but is attracting serious interest from Saudi Arabia. Could he be sold and the money reinvested into an elite striker?

Which players are they looking at?

Tottenham are interested in Conor Gallagher, with both the recruitment team and Ange Postecoglou liking the Chelsea midfielder.

There is also an admiration for Alexander Isak among many at the north London club, but clearly that would not be a cheap or easy deal to pull off.

So is Palace trying to punch above their weight or is he below our level.

Both?

Probably more the first than the second.

Signing Wharton didn't make him below our level. Same with Eze and Olise signings.

What Palace can offer is game time in an environment of little pressure. I think Soule is above Palaces level. So it'd be a pretty good signing for them.

Yeah I think Chelsea and us were interest in Wharton but palace can guarantee game time.

Palace seem to know their place in the game. Never bad enough to be in harm of relegation, never really good enough to trouble the established European lot.

So they're just sort of a middling nothing team and their fans seem okay with that. But that also allows them to sign and provide game time to some really good talent, before moving them on for big profit.

Some journo has invested at least 2 minutes in that. What a waste of bandwidth.

They give off that vibe, but they have only had 2 sales in their history above £20mil.

Bolasie and Wan Bissaka.

They have only sold 4 players for over £10mil in the last 10 years inclusive of the two above.

I think they definitely regret this one
