Eh?!

I’m sure he’s practically destitute on his £20m Citeh salary, and hasn’t managed to save a bean! 😁
I think he’s meaning that he can make sure his kid’s kid’s kids are looked after. Fair play to him. Most of us would do the same if we had the chance to earn crazy money. I’ve more respect for guys like him who are honest about it rather than come out with some shit that they are going to improve the league and up the profile of that utter piss league.

I think there is an argument for buying 2 or 3 really top class players like Eze/ Olise and an Isak or maybe Gyokeres and just making do elsewhere. If that means playing some youngsters or keeping the likes of Davies for the last year of his contract so be it. We need 2 or 3 that push us up a level not 6 or 7 squad types that might improve the depth but do bugger all to improve the 11.
Agree with this, but I think there will be a lot of squad turnover with the number of outs, that it will likely force Spurs to bring in more than just 2 or 3 signings.

Eze is a player I don’t see Spurs signing. We have depth in his position with Maddison, Kulusevski can play as a number 10, and Son, Werner, Richarlison can play at left wing. He would be a big money luxury signing that wouldn’t be a smart allocation of transfer funds when there is at least three positions on the pitch that are more of a pressing team need.

Priority one should be striker. With Richarlison injury history spurs need a new option. Isak/ Gyokeres is the type of player that spurs need to go all out to target. I would have no problem giving the Geordies 100m for Isak. I think he is that good and probably the 2nd best striker in PL after Haaland. Gyokeres should cost less at 75m and I see some merit negotiating with Sporting to bring in him and Marcus Edwards as right wing competition for Johnson.

Priority two should be defensive midfield. We will need reinforcement with Hojbjerg likely to be sold. I can’t see Gallagher leaving Chelsea and I dont think Olise is that type of player, so I’m expecting this will likely be a foreign signing. I’ll trust Don Paratici to bring in the right guy.

Priority three should be backup full backs. Bringing back Walker-Peters makes sense as a club trained option for Europa league. I also would really like if Spurs made a move for Alfie Doughty as Udogie’s understudy. Doughty reminds me so much of Trippier, I think he would be a great inverted full back.

Incomings will likely cost 170m-200m range.
I think we can re-coup 100m in outgoings, with the sales of Rodan, Tanganga, Regulion, Royal, Hojbjerg, Lo Celso, Gil, Spence, Ndombele.

I would also loan out Veliz, Scarlett, Devine, Solomon and bring back from loan Phillips as a 5th choice CB (Davies 4th choice) and Parrott as a 3rd choice striker.

If you could set your family up for generation after generation for 2 years "work", wouldnt you do it. If I were him I'd be more concerned by his complexion in that heat!
Nope I’d miss the green, green grass of home! 😁

Shirley on a £20m a year salary for several seasons he’s already accomplished that!

I’m surprised he wouldn’t choose a return to Belgium like Verts and wind down his career at a semi decent level rather than in a piss pot league in an arid dust bowl.
