When did Ali Gold confirm that, can you link the article? I can't find a single source that confirms that Saliba is club trained in UEFA comps, only that he is home grown in PL.

I so wish we were in the frame for Olise, 10 goals and 6 assists in 19 PL games last season, he has finally had his breakout year and we are probably not even trying to eat at that table even though he would immediately immensely improve our right side, if only we had chucked an extra £15m on top of what we paid for Johnson and gone for him instead.

Focusing on the non-HG:
22 currently and can only have 17
Reggie, Emmerson, PEH, GLC, Gill and NDombele all likely to go (or not be registered at least in Tanguy’s case).

That leaves us with the possibility of 1 non-HG signing.

If we sell Solomon which has also been mooted then that’s 2.

Veliz being loaned out is 3 (he’d be u21 for PL) but would be pointless to keep him in the squad and NOT have him eligible for Europa where he’d likely see more minutes.

So realistically, unless I’m missing something obvious, we’ve only got a maximum of 3 non-HG signings that can be made.

Marmoush for example, the most underrated on that list can play both out wide and through the middle but he's completely different to Ivan Toney for example.

Gyokeres and Gimenez are closest in terms of data. I can understand the links. Gimenez is basically the cheaper and younger option of the two.

El Nesyri isn't even worth talking about. He's the worst on that list overall.

I imagine depending on whether there's true interest in Richarlison will depend on who we go for. If he stays, I can see Marmoush being someone we may push for as he can play in three positions.

Need to see the context of golds words but it’s just agents isn’t it pushing their players around. An uninspiring list but realistically that’s every striker that’s probably obtainable and on the market right now. I’m still not 100% convinced we’ll get one in without Richy leaving though.
