I think it's clear the club views Davies as crucial to our fortunes this season given the complete absence of an LB or an LCB.

So yeah, given that Ben Davies playing Angeball is a crucial component of our squad depth and rotation, forgive me if I am a little concerned.

Let's add 10m and round up the net to 70m to account for any inaccuracies.

We're hardly throwing our financial weight around are we? Especially when you consider wages are now massively reduced. We still have gaping holes in the squad and obvious upgrades we could make.
We finished 25 points behind the leading pack last season and this hardly screams AMBITION.

Some fans were hopeful of winning something this season but it's now clear it will be a transitional season (sound familiar?)

I personally think it will be a fun season as we do have some exciting young players and have managed to get rid of most of the cloggers that made your eyes bleed.

But that's probably what Brighton fans say at the start of every season and I don't think we are crazy for expecting the club to have slightly loftier ambitions than Brighton.
