Divide that by two and subtract one.
I know you are joking but spreading the transfer budget over 6 players will mean they will be cheap rather than fewer dearer ones and it would take a few months to bed in.

As this match is scheduled to be just before PL starts, this will just become 'the big match' at end of preseason (eg Bayern Munich last season).
Only real difference will be there is a real Cup to win, and maybe a few more £'s if we win it.

I’m inordinately excited by us being in this, probably because we’ve never had access to it before.
Great to have another European “final” coming and a chance of another trophy (before most of our rivals have even started the season).
It’ll be a hard game but we should be more up for it than our opponents, which might well just give us a little something.
