There are few states more Jewish than Florida, no redneck would be literate enough to know that much about Spurs' history, and since this isn't 1954 there are probably only about 12 people left in the KKK.
As intended, it will grow interest among the many people teetering on diving into the sport. Those who don't care won't even notice it happened. So, in all it's a good thing for the grassroots level. Whether it benefits Spurs is more long-term, "big-picture," and therefore vague, but it can't hurt.
