Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Anyone interested in some quality articles, The Athletic UK just launched today. Jack Pitts-Brooke is the lead Spurs writer. It's behind a paywall but everything there is super top notch content - can't recommend it enough. Don't know what the cost is for UK based subscribers, but I think its £50/year but you can usually get 40% off that cost if you pay for the whole year up front (so £30/year).

Anyone else subscribe currently? I know a few Brits that do because they like American Football/Basketball and its hard to find good coverage.

For now I’m not paying fuck all. If this amount was added to the Season Ticket there would be screams.

Some fantastic writers have gone over to it, so possibly a massive void left in its wake. I hope it falls flat on its arse and I can get this content back for free just as I’ve enjoyed for a number of years.

Or maybe someone who has paid a sub could cut and paste on here

Doesn't blow my socks off to be honest.
Yes!! It may mean that I don't accidently read anything by Amy Lawrence again.

To be perfectly honest, the moment I heard they were pretty aggressively headhunting the 'top' sports journalist talent from elsewhere to launch this paid service - I was hoping to see it crash and burn within a year.

Streaming services are multiplying in a scary fashion. There is no way in hell I'm adding a fiver a month to those when most football journalism makes me tear my hair out already.

Also, I can't see what's going to stop the one user from TFC from just copying and pasting any decent Spurs articles on here. Ditto the r/coys subreddit page.

I subscribe here in Canada and it's mostly for the other sports. Until know their Spurs/PL offering hasn't been good IMO.

I will say that the hockey articles have been awesome though. I was definitely skeptical, but they sucked me in with a smoking deal. I should say that if they can get similar articles written about Spurs, I'd be thrilled. It's not just the usual media "reporting" like "here's a game recap". It's in-depth interviews with players and coaches and that sort of thing. As a fan, it's really interesting stuff.

And if we're allowed here, I'll post those things when they appear. But if you can get a good deal, I'd recommend it. (£60 sounds really high, but I guess the pounds not worth what it once was!)

Not according to their own article of who is covering what.
I can only guess that it's a late change, primarily as Charlie Eccleshare is an out and out Gooner and doubt that would have gone down too well.

But I'm with you, fucked if I'm paying for the same content that was previously free. I hope it falls on its arse but this will only happen if the void left by those writers that have joined is filled. Nothing against the individual writers, if they want to get paid more money for their work then great.

Few decent names there but nothing that's blowing my socks off. You can here most of the recognisable names on podcasts and I'm not interested in written stuff that much anymore. It's gone to shit in the past decade, haven't bought a newspaper in years and nearly read stuff online. Much prefer the fans discussion from podcasts and forums.

Any subscribers here?
I saw a tweet from David Ornstein part of which says THFC 30 second Covid19 test.

Would be interested to know a bit more about that...

So, I've now subscribed (been using a mates sub until now).

Since launching their subscription has never been charged at full price but even their constant offers haven't been enough to entice me in. Until now.

It runs out tomorrow but their latest offer is £1 per month!! I think this is an absolute bargain (£12 per year) that's less than a broadsheet Sunday for one week! Just make sure you put in your diary ahead of time to cancel your sub before the auto-renew kicks in at full face value!

I subscribe and then just immediately cancel. It basically just turns off the auto-renewal so I don't re-sub at full price.

There was an interesting piece up today on the Sugar era at Spurs - I was going to link to it but couldn't find a good thread...
