You really have no clue about football/Spurs do you? All that effort, and you dont follow us that closely at all. I don't know where to start to be honest. I don't think I want to walk you through very basic things that happened during AVB's reign. Perhaps I won't even answer your points. Just send links of news items etc to make you look fkn clueless.

Made Ade train with the kids after his brother died. Reason: For questioning his tactics.

Was Bullshit.

Are you sure you want to do this?

Emmanuel Adebayor has revealed to Sky Sports he had private and public fall-outs with boss Andre Villas-Boas before the Portuguese coach cast him into exile at the start of this season.

Villas-Boas made it clear to Adebayor that he was not part of his first-team plans and forced him to train with the club's junior players as he was replaced by summer signing Roberto Soldado in the Spurs line-up.

However, Adebayor has flourished since Tim Sherwood replaced Villas-Boas as Tottenham boss and now he has lifted the lid on his heated discussions with the departed Spurs head coach.

"He brought his ideas and I told him: 'Your ideas will not help the team'," Adebayor said in an interview broadcast on Sky Sports. "I have had a chance to play for a lot of top clubs in my career and I know how it's supposed to be. I told him one v. one and he didn't want to listen, and then I told him in front of the group.

"Maybe it was a mistake. Maybe it was a good one, maybe it was a bad one. I don't know, but I spoke my mind."

Adebayor admits his desire to prove his doubters wrong has been a driving force behind his revival, which has seen him score five goals in eight Premier League matches.

"I remember in early September I did an interview saying it would not take me long to be the number one striker again in Tottenham and a lot of fans jumped on that saying: 'Oh, who does he think he is?'" Adebayor said. "These are the things that give me more motivation and these are the things that keep me going.

"When you wake up and you realise that there are a lot of haters out there and you want to prove them wrong, you just keep focused and keep doing what you love best, which is playing football, scoring goals and having fun."

Adebayor went on to offer hearty praise for his new boss Sherwood, as he suggested the former midfielder has a more open-minded approach to the game than his predecessor.

"I know Tim quite well, so for me, to be honest with you, I was impressed because I know the manager, the person, the personality," Adebayor said. "At the moment, this is what is happening and I am very happy.

"I know what Tim can bring into the club and we all see what he has brought into the club. For me, he is an unbelievable man, a nice guy with a huge character.

"He has been there for me since day one and he just told me 'Adebayor, I know how good you can be, I know you can be a very important player for this squad and to fight for the team. If you fight for the team, the team will be behind you'."

Can you highlight the part where Ade says that AVB made him train with the kids after his brother died for questioning his tactics 'cause i can't see it?

He was told to train with the kids because instead of training and playing he spent the beginning of the season in Africa dancing around his G-Wagon and smoking hookah.

Silence idiot. I think ade knows more about it than you. Straight from the horses mouth and you still question it. Willful ignorance to win an argument.

Wait, AVB had Ade's brother put to death for questioning tactics???!?!?!

Jesus fuck, that AVB was one hard mafia-style muthafuckaaa.
Only at the behest of the true Premier League Don Corleone...

I'm still waiting for you to highlight the part in that interview where Ade says that AVB made him train with the kids for questioning his tactics.

Going from a team that was unable to attack to a team that is unable to defend has been an interesting development.

AVB: 0 three or more goal scored games, 7 clean sheets.
Sherwood: 5 three or more goal scored games, 5 clean sheets. I'm stunned at the clean sheets number as it certainly flatters him.

We're a team that just really has no identity at all. That's why I'm most hoping to get LVG as he would implement a system that he has used for almost two decades now to great success. We need structure and a system that works on both sides of the pitch instead of just one.

*Unable to score.

Last season we led the league percentage wise in shots from outside the box, were 19th in percentage of shots in the 18 yard box, and 17th in percentage of shots inside the six. This year under AVB of the 15 goals we scored in his 16 games in charge only 6 were from inside the box during open play. We weren't exactly creating high percentage chances or easily replicable goals for ourselves during his tenure. That also doesn't take into account how often we looked clueless when trying to break down a compact defense. We were certainly much more organized in the back though.

We should be striving for a coach that can manage to accomplish both if Champions League and trophies is our goal.

But that underlines my point. Due to our proclivity for taking shots from distance we weren't creating high percentage opportunities since our chances were more difficult. That manifested itself in less goals scored. Think about all of Townsend's long distance bombs. Those are considered chances created. Every chance isn't created equal.

Ultimately this discussion isn't particularly important. We should have kept AVB— even though IMO he was sacked more due to behind closed doors stuff than on field results— because Levy struck out on the guys he was hoping to be replacements and then we got Sherwood who has failed to be an improvement. Levy acted rashly to sack AVB without consulting with the replacements he wanted. Still, with AVB it's hard to see how we would be in any different position than 6th or 7th as we are now. Especially considering it is unlikely that Adebayor would have proved to be the same catalyst under AVB.

Ultimately we probably would have ended up 6th or 7th and AVB would have been fired at the end of the season. This season was only destined to go one way. Levy's probably kicking himself as he still has to pay off AVB and he gave Tim a raise plus whatever he'll have to pay when he gets the sack in May.

Tim got a 750k 18 month contract.

If he gets the boot in July, there will be 10 months or so of that contact left, so 750/18 * 10 = £417,000

Compensation Package for AVB = £4,000,000
New contract for Sherwood = £750,000
Compensation for Sherwood = £417,000

Getting rid of the club parasite - priceless

I now know exactly what a Daniel Levy night terror looks like. :levywtf:

I believe he was only paid four months worth of wages. Or maybe even nothing at all. But definitely not £4m.

Hm. I was under the impression that we've been much more active inside the box this season than you make it out to be. CJJ CJJ do you have a graph to confirm (or deny) it?

Our current number from whoscored is 51% outside the box, 45% in the 18, and 4% in the 6. Last year it was 54% outside, 41% in the 18, and 5% in the 6.

It would be interesting to see what those numbers were for both Sherwood and AVB this season considering they've both now managed 16 games. I have no idea how to get a hold of those statistics though.
