When Ange leaves this summer I wonder if he’ll reflect on how badly his stubbornness cost him.
All those stupid defeats playing wacky all out attack football with holes everywhere and full backs playing like number 10s when he could have respected the basics of football like tonight and set the team up properly.
Compare this showing to what we did away at Villa in the FA Cup, going a goal down after 1 minute with a huge chasm of space for the opponent to play in. That’s the biggest argument against Ange continuing, that it took him countless defeats, injuries and humiliations before he finally accepted that his idea of football doesn’t work.
