IMO Europa League away days are better than CL awaydays but the football is more exciting in the CL.
If your going to go round dressed up in all the gear, Fila, Aquascutum, etc - making out your a top lad when your not then this is to be expected..

All four semi finalists of the Europa were Champions League drop outs too. Its sad when last years winners Athletico had to win 18 games, yet Chelsea or Benfica can do it in 8...

And that, in a nutshell Ladies and Gentlemen is the true shambles that is the Champions League drop outs/Europa league system!

I think they should make the Champions league for the first 2 or 3 in the respective leagues. Having it all the way down to fourth is ridiculous, and it means our representatives in Europa are then the 5th and 6th and often even lower teams from the prem. And of course, not let the the teams that are shit in the champions league enter the EL.

I know what you mean but there's no comparison, the Europa League is a lot better than you're making it out.
That would hardly benefit us at all! It would be the two Manchester clubs and Chelsea every year.
If anything we need to cling onto having 4 Champions league places at all costs. I know UEFA are looking into the Premier Leagues slots already, so we need to fight them off with a shitty stick.
Agreed. Once your knocked out of the Champions league that should be it, game over. Change that issue. Dont reduce the slots for us.

Although i dont think it would necessarily be a bad thing. A) it would mean, Due to the less places we'd have to work harder, and b) Woolwich have finished 4th a few times recently... They'd be the ones missing out.
I actually think the Europa league was FULL of quality this year.... More ex-Champions League clubs in it than ever, it seemed.... Having to beat Inter (albeit a shit version) AND Lyon on the way to Basle spoke volumes about the level in this year's comp.
Still can't help but feel Chelsea are enjoying OUR special night out in Amsterdam though!
They can keep the CL format as it is, just don't allow the drop outs into the Europa league!
