You can entrench yourself in "It's PC gone mad", but if that is the case you can't expect to be the head of the FA tackling racism.

Many people might argue the word coloured is more polite than calling someone 'black'. Times change i guess.

His other points about over-representation of Afro-Caribbeans relative to British Asians in football is fair comment. Statistically that is true and we should certainly not be afraid to discuss it.
 
In 2020 the best thing is just not to state any opinion, or use any terminology that pertains to race or skin tone.
