If we can get past Ajax, this might be the first ever completely non contact game of football ever played. We'll be their only saviour from Hell, no way they're gonna want to injure any of our players.

That's a good point! Maybe give us some shooting practice, too?

The thought occurs that they probably have a higher than average percentage of players that aren't Everton fans (on the basis of it being Everton)

Now we know we have a game in 3 weeks time, we may need to have a team v Everton :

- To give players returning from injury minutes to get them match fit (eg Winks, Lamela, Dier and Aurier)
- Rest some players who must be shattered from the Ajax game (eg Llorente - so play Janssen ?, maybe play Davies rather than Rose)

There will be some tired players starting but 3 can be subbed to rst them. On the other hand next match after this is 3 weeks away so its not to rst them, just to prevent them picking up injuries such as hamstrings.

Surely Everton won't want to go full tilt at us and risk crocking anyone. We are the only ones who can prevent years of more torment for them from their Dipper neighbours.

we can't take this game too light, we need to ensure we do our side, get at least a draw and we are in top 4
3 weeks until the final. Field a strong 11. But give some fringe guys game time off the bench.

Gazza/Hugo
Any of the RBs, Toby, Jan, Ben
Dier, Sissoko
Dele, Eriksen, Son/Lucas
Janssen (Llorente off the bench. More effective against tired legs).

Something like that.

Everyone today will try and recover physically and mentally from last night. It's impossible but unlike us it's their job.

Then on Sunday some players will be rested but Pochettino will play a strong side. Not to do so would be reckless.

But can you imagine the atmosphere at the new stadium?

That alone will be something the players want to be part of.

In other words I don't think any of them will want to be dropped or rested or whatever.

So Dier, Davies and Sanchez yes but much more? Maybe Gazzaniga. But that's it.

No wholesale changes. Respect the game and after this week's results know that nearly anything is possible.

strongest team possible minus FB rotation.

KWP------Toby-----Jan------Davies
------------Sissoko--Dier------------
---Eriksen-------Alli--------Lucas---
-----------------Llorente-------------

Couldn't give a shit. Hopefully see Aurier get some minutes to get rid of rust for the final. Same for Lamela and Dier. WRAP SISSOKO IN COTTON WOOL! Be nice to say goodbye to Vorm also.

-----------------Vorm-----------------
KWP----Toby-------Jan----Davies
-----------Dier-----Skipp------------
Lamela-------Dele-----------Lucas
--------------Llorente---------------

Subs - Gazza, Foyth, Rose, Trippier, Sissoko, Son, A youngster

1-1 in what will effectively be a gentle run around.

2 weeks rest after this before the final. Go strong, in front of the home crowd.

How's Winks looking? Good for a second half cameo I hope.
