Who's paying?
The Board is currently involved in a number of preliminary discussions regarding funding and remain open to approaches from those considering investment in what is set to be an exciting period of growth for the club. Funding for the construction of the stadium is also expected to be generated through the development of new residential units and associated commercial floorspace on an area of the site allocated by Hillingdon Borough Council. These modern and much needed properties will benefit from the same outstanding location and transport links associated with the new stadium.

I would imagine there will be a load more fund raisers. More Stoneshare opportunities, etc.

I guess more will come out in the next couple of weeks. I've not been on the Stones forum yet today.

EDIT: Just read the 'new stadium' thread. Seems to be 99% are just happy at the news, a couple are saying we heard all this before and one thanked Bozo (as you know he was the local MP till lately).

This guy has been a hardcore fan for 40 odd years...

Indeed. Fantastic, wonderful news, but of course all this will take time.
Our previous new ground development took 10 years of toil, only for the builders to go bust and then a harrow councilor who is now on the Cuckoos board facilitated them to take over.
Fingers and toes all crossed for everything to go smoothly this time around.

The cuckoos are Barnet. The general consensus is this could take 3 years, the housing being built is the key.

Thanks for that. I had to Google, Mickleover FC. It's Derby, apparently.

Only 556 Barnet fans at Wealdstone today. Extremely poor for a team which thinks they'll be fighting for promotion, York brought more.

Brilliant to beat them with a 98th min winner.

Changes at the top for Wealdstone. Lovely bloke Paul, really is Mr Wealdstone.
