The Positive Vibes Thread!

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

OK... this isn't me being all Spurs 'happy flappy clappy fan' ...but it is in direct response to a couple of recent threads that have 'emerged' (and countless posts) that are spouting negativity and division at every quarter within our Glorious, famous old Club...

Questioning EVERYTHING from grass roots mentality, or everyone (as well as Poch) leaving in the Summer... to whether the tea lady has handed in a transfer request... (do we even HAVE a tea lady any more?? It's probably a Barista now!)

ANYWAY... I just want us all to momentarily step away from all the negativity for the final 2 games (jeez, we only have 5 days to hold it back)
and focus instead not only on the overall POSITIVES of the season... but to REMAIN positive in the lead up to, and during the Final 2 home games (it's 180 minutes of your lives - plus Injury-time... reckon you can all manage it?)

Yes we've had better seasons... but not many... and we KNOW we've CERTAINLY had worse!

Playing at Wembley this season started as a curse, then was a non-existent advantage in the Cups... but the constant is that we've effectively played 36 away games (albeit with terrific record breaking numbers 'travelling away' in half of those games) but no one at the start of the season could honestly say they wouldn't have been expecting a battle to finish Top 6... let alone higher! It was a gamble that, all being well, is about to pay off.

If... sorry, WHEN we finish in the Top 4 (staying positive, remember?) That will be a 3rd consecutive year of qualification for Europe's elite competition... one that, while we WEREN'T in it, was the one place EVERY CLUB - and PLAYER who we ever missed out on - cited they wanted to be...
and WE HAVE been for the past 2 seasons, and have EVERY CHANCE of doing it again.. and AGAIN!

It's in our hands... it's always been in our hands 4th is season... we're not relying on favours, and not should we be... and yet some automatically continue to look over our shoulders at a team who is now 2 points behind... rather than the team in front who are only one point ahead, (and have played one game more) THERE'S yer negative constant!

If we take care of business our end, there's nothing Liverpool or Chelsea can do about it.

We're in a privileged position in the football pyramid... amongst the 4 best teams in the Country!
Let's not forget that...

Besides, even the biggest teams ARE allowed to lose occasionally...
Guess what, we MAY go a goal down in one of the next two games... yeah, and?? That's NO excuse for dropping heads a d fearing the worst... WE'RE better than that! (and I mean players AND fans!)

We just need to make SURE we retain the calmness, composure and sheer talent that has got us here in the first place.

This isn't supposed to be a rival match thread... so no team formation, Stream links or Spare ticket news needed. It's just a place to share the positivity, and spread the love in the lead up to a vital week.

Stay positive for TWO MORE GAMES people... just 5 more days... and it WILL all be worth it!

We got this.

COME ON YOU SPURS!!

We are miles better than leicester & newcastle. So if we play anywhere near our best then we will get the job done.
We can even afford to draw a game & just win 1.

It’s acutally nice to know CL qualification is solely down to us, we don’t have to rely on any other teams dropping points, 2 wins and we get 3rd, which considering playing at Wembley would be considered a successful season, I just hope the football gods are good to us, win tomorrow and the pressure is on Liverpool more so than us......

Woke up this morning NOT thinking about WBA debacle. The sun is out & the birds are in full chorus, have the morning off, so can do a bit in the garden after a nice cuppa & a successful visit to the bog. The dog is lay in the garden, sniffing the morning air & the waft of a fried breakfast is tantalising my own eager nostrils.
And we are going to fucking smash those Geordie thundertwats midweek, followed by a glorious humiliating of the foxes at the weekend.

I am readying the champagne for that moment when we consign the chavs to a season in the Europa. So near, and yet so far. That’s gonna hurt them sooooo bad the thought of it is giving me great pleasure on this beautiful May morning.

True. Both chelsea & liverpool would rather be in our shoes in the race for top 4. It could be a lot worse. If we do get top 4 its made the last week of the season much more interesting & we will all be very happy/relieved at the end of the final whistle of the season.

100% this!
..and my exact reason for starting this thread.

Imagine having to rely on one or BOTH of them having to drop points in THEIR final game to let us in with a sniff... you just know they wouldn't!
(Yes, I know Liverpool lost at the weekend, but somehow we even managed to find the negatives in THAT 'cos it pushed Chelsea a little closer.)

We win our two... and there's NOTHING either of them can do...

We have EVERY REASON to stay positive!

Seeeeeeee?
See what a bit of fucking positivity can do?

Fucking love this club... it's players, staff......and EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU LOT TOO!!!!
