Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Had to register just to say I don't believe any spurs fans are really thinking it's over already. The negativity is just reverse psychology to lessen the disappointment if we fail to win (which is stupid when top 4 would be a great achievement). You ain't kidding anyone.

We all know there are 7 games and 21 possible points left, Spurs, Woolwich and Leicester all have a chance to win the BPL.

All we need is for Leicester to lose a game while we win the same weekend and it's down to 2 points and the same scenario would put us ahead by a point - that's pressure on Leicester. The form book goes out the proverbial window at this stage of the season, and if anything Leicester are looking worse now and not quite winning as convincingly as before. No doubt about it that we are the best team RIGHT NOW in the BPL.

I think regardless of what the foxes do, if we can get passed Liverpool and Utd with 4 points we've got a decent chance. And if we don't win it, so long as we keep Poch and the team we'll have another bash next year, whereas I can only see Leicester challenging for Champs league and eventually Europa.

One of the things you said in there is very worth highlighting. Woolwich would potentially still win the title. They've got a game in hand and only two fixtures stand out as being extremely challenging. West Ham & Manchester City. For the time being, even though I have faith that this race will come down to the wire, I'm waiting for the day those cunts can't finish above us. That's a day worth celebrating.

One thing that I think shows the shift in attitude for our club, team, fanbase is that we're not looking at the table, and the remaining fixtures, and shitting ourselves about having to finish above Woolwich.

Obviously we want to, but I'm just immensely proud that we're looking up rather than down and are chasing the title. That's a fucking great mentality to have, and it really does appear that Poch has drilled it into the players.

You can just imagine 'Arry thinking that fourth is looking good and the job's as good as done.

Not this Spurs. It makes you hungry for next season too.

My point is (and I really don't know why I am being asked to explain this) is that Colonel_K said:

"Scum are 6pts behind us with a game in hand, we would still need to lose three for them to over take us. If it was level points we'd still be ahead due to our superior GD."

The fact that we would still need to lose three in order for Woolwich to potentially over take us is in fact highly possible. A lot of people on here seem to think that Spurs finishing 2nd or even champions is a done deal.

It's far from it.

We've manage to get through to April, having lost 4, yes that is 4 games. However you see us losing 3 in our remaining 7? We have the best defensive record in the league, we are not a push over. We have the best GD and highest amount of goals scored.

We no longer have the distraction of other competitions unlike some teams we will be playing.

It's not luck that our statistics are the best in the league.

I completely agree that we're not pushovers. I completely agree that luck has had no part in our success this season. Having only lost four games is a good indicator of how strong we are. However, I worry that Liverpool away, Chelsea away, Stoke away and Newcastle away are all potential banana skins. I don't think we will lose every one of those matches but they are games that will really, really test us. On paper we are the better team going into every remaining game but then consider Chelsea, on a Monday night, who will be desperate to stop us from winning the title - and our ridiculously bad record at Stamford Bridge, it weighs heavily on my mind. With Liverpool you just don't know which team will turn up. Stoke, also on a Monday night, are more than capable of beating any team in the Premier League when they play at home, and then you have Newcastle, last day of the season and potentially still fighting for survival, that worries me too.

I know we're capable of winning every game from now on. I just don't understand how people can think 2nd place, or even the title, is ours. There is still so much football to play and anything can happen. I'm not being negative, I'm just being very cautious.

Twice in the last 4 seasons the eventual winner has come from being 5 or 6 points behind with 4 games to play.

But Jayc1 Jayc1 thinks we've only got a 0.01% chance of making up 5 in 7 games.

Will Leicester draw 1 game and lose 2 games, out of their remaining 7?

If you think that's statistically likely, you're off your head. That's all I'm going off.

Yes they can but unfortunately so can we. My fear is Woolwich will go unbeaten (maybe lose one at best) as they always do .

We have gone to Liverpool with a lesser side and have been the better side . There is no reason why we cant go to Liverpool and get all 3 points and with form go on an a good run to the end of the season.

And in those previous years would you have thought Liverpool with Suarez or United managed by Ferguson would have dropped 5 to 6 points in the last 4 games?

Recent history shows that a team with a slim lead going into the last few PL games chokes.......

Looking at our remaining matches, I think Chelsea away is going to be our toughest fixture, mainly due to the Stamford Bridge hoodoo that's plagued us since 1990.

However, if there ever was a time to re-write the history books, it's this season, where we've all witnessed a new Tottenham Hotspur that is mentally strong, never gives up, will not be beaten without one hell of a fight and has re-defined the word Spursy.

I think our match against Liverpool away is going to be the next toughest test, but is certainly winnable, as plenty of other PL teams have shown this season. Our young team doesn't fear anyone now and will arrive at Anfield full of confidence and belief in themselves.

They'll probably drop points to:
West Ham - Great home form, difficult team
City - I think City will be feeling the pressure for top 4
Sunderland - Will be desperate for points and home advantage

I think they'll lose 1, draw 2 at least

You do give precise predictions, are you a fortune teller???

Posh works his magic, Alli and Dier will feature in the PL title winning bid and LC will welter away......

One of my biggest worries was tiredness and us falling away because key players had played too many matches this season. After yesterday I feel this will not happen. The International break will affect the players especially Lamela but after that we only have 1 match a week. We have the harder matches at first and if we can win them and even if still 5 points behind Leicester with 3 matches to go, that will be the time the nerves will kick in for Leicester and they may falter and we need to take advantage. If we slip further behind then the pressure is off Leicester as they can afford a slip up. We just need to keep winning and judged on yesterdays performance that is very possible.

I'm not sure I'm following this correctly. Why do Leicester have to lose 2 & draw 1? If they lose one & draw one whilst we win two, we are level on points with a better GD, no? Or if they had 3 draws & we win 3, we go past them?
Or am I missing the point entirely?

Because you might as well have posted "anything can happen". I could just as easily say "it is "highly possible" that we will win our last 7 games, and Leicester won't".

It's just nonsense.

Not too bothered looking at the fixture lists. The cream rises to the top. If we play like we have been we shouldn't fear any fixture. Leicester will definitely drop some points before the end of the season the question is will we have enough to catch them? I admire their passion and belief but this isn't fucking Barca we are chasing. They have done an unbelievable job of not dropping points, however they have had some considerable luck too. Even Saturday Palace was unlucky in hitting the bar in injury time. Gotta believe friends!

Just fucking wait until 3 games left to see if its possible then!

Nobody knows what will happen

I am still waiting for Ranieri to unveil his mask and it was secretly Mourinho underneath all along
Think about it, boring performances, 1-0 wins, only using 15 players, tough defensively and a racist english talisman, who else can it be!!?
