As a starting point Nuno has a lot more time, probably until the end of the season imo. Unless we completely fall apart.

The unknown factor, which we have no chance to (potentially) see coming, is if Nuno loses the dressing room. I realise it's such a cliche. But if Hugo and Kane go knocking on Levy's door to say that the squad have stopped taking his training serious and refuse to listen to his tactics, then I do feel the trigger would be pulled.

If I'm being a cynic; if nothing else then because Levy doesn't want to see Kane's value plummet if he has a 3 PL goals season.
Lost the dressing room? I'm not sure he ever found it.

I seriously cannot remember a single player making any comment about him one way or another, where usually you get a load of talk about the new boss and his methods this guy has just been met with apathy.

He's terminally uninspiring.

I think it’s pretty obvious where Nunos problems lie:

"At the end of the day what we want is for all players to be involved and committed," said Santo.

He added: "This word is very important. The commitment is very important. When you are committed, you understand better some kind of decisions.

"You are more patient and keep doing what you should do. Focus on your task, day after day."
Santo said: "I wish all the players were equally committed. That would be absurd to tell that is the reality, because the players have their own expectations.

"These players have to go beyond. They have to make a conscious effort that he has to go again from the beginning of the week to change the opinion and the idea of the manager.”

People will just slate Nuno for making excuses, but they’ve all seen the shit on the pitch, they all acknowledge the shit on the pitch and they all want better.

A long ball is a useful tool when the guy on the other end is committed enough to run for it. Kane did that once against Newcastle and everyone fawned.
When Kane doesn’t want to chase one, suddenly our tactics are “wrong”…

long ball maybe ok when its toby hitting it, you may have a chance of getting it
but most of our lot can't hit the long ball early (just can't see a pass, have to look, look and look again) and the pass is often over hit

we don't go to training so don't know what goes on, has the manager tried to make training intresting ?
does he put on lots of different sessions ?
or is training boring for the players ?
if this guy thought/thinks Scarlett can play upfront for us (maybe in a few years but not now) its no wonder players don't have him

Agreed, but there’s a big difference when it comes to who’s supposed to chase it down.

Some players give up because it wasn’t on a silver platter and served with caviar.

Others chase it down and are more committed. Look, there’s that word again..

its not about commitment from the players, remember its just a job for them they can get the same type of money from other clubs so don't need to be here, they are also millionaires so don't have any money worries unlike us
the manager and his coaching team need to make it fun to go into training (not just the same old stuff) thats why you should have big coaching team with specialist skills, don't want them bored with training

Your post drives me mad BECAUSE
How can it be Luno's fault that our terrible recruitment policy of the past ?
He has been here for 5 minutes and alright his team against Woolwich will never be forgotten but he agreed to take on a task that everyone else refused, avoided or signed an improved contract at their current club.
He will possibly not be able to attract serious players unless he gets us to top 4 but even though I know thus, I think he is trying to do a decent job.
He has decided to lose Dele and Winks, Sissoko and Aurier.
He does not choose the replacements or wonder why we seem to be planning for 2026 !
If Levy wants better then just bid on better players and hope a few might say yes.
On the positives, he seems to be adjusting and improving Skip,Romero, Reggie and possibly even Royal !
It's not his fault that Kane wants to leave or that Bergy keeps getting injured, nor is it his fault that Ndombele is a sucker.
At half term surely the report is some mistakes but trying hard ?
He deserves to be here for zero minutes as far as I’m concerned. Never wanted him and he’s done nothing to change my mind.

Giving a manager time for time's sake is stupid. He’s a terrible fit, at odds with the culture of the club, he’s a glorified caretaker on a 2 year deal.

There’s nothing in his history that suggests the quality of football will one day get remarkably better.

So you would sack him and back to chaos ?
Surely this 8s better than Mason picking Winks and Dele ?

There’s free agent coaches out there right now who at least try to play with the damn football, namely Favre & Valverde.

There’s zero imagination at this club. How the hell did we basically end up with a less authoritative version of Jose?

Why is he starting Kane then?

There's a difference between not having a firm grasp on the dressing room, and outright losing it. There's a middle ground, where players are more meeeeeh, but saying: let's give it a go, cause he won't be sacked after two matches anyway.

I get what you're saying though. And I agree to a pretty big degree. Also I've changed my mind since, after tonight's absolute shit show. If he isn't sacked by tomorrow, Levy's lost the plot on football side of things. I'd take Mason for the rest season over this. I'd take Sherwood over this ffs!!!

Nuno's football fucking stinks. It stank at Wolves and it is stinking the place out here. Crystal fucking Palace rejected him after interviewing him, this is where we are at. We have become a joke of a club.
