Look at that squad.....we signed 7 players, some of which are still yet to feature.....who people are demanding should feature, but they cant as we can only field 11, or they are not quite ready.

And people are throwing a fit because we didnt sign more.

Lamela getting up to speed will be like a new signing, as will Jan's return.

If we can do with Kane what we have with Bentaleb, we are certainly not gonna miss Defoe.

It GEL TIME people...cant wait for the run in

i think it's more of a freudian slip, surely after the last game his (and probably not only his) subconscious self wishes we could put 13 players on the pitch each game:ninja:
 
thought it looked like a strong line up! and im sure eriksen and sigurdson were deleted from my list!
do lennon and townsend prefer the same wing?
if its a close call I would usually go with the natural / preferred position.

I really want to see lamella have a run "in the hole"

My favourite players when fully fit and on form would be

Lloris
Walker, Kaboul, Vertonghen, Rose
Dembele, Paulinho, Eriksen, Sandro, Lamela, Townsend and Holtby
Adebayor and Soldado

So erm.. 4-7-2 formation I guess the GK and defence is clear, the mid and attack would need to rotate accordingly.
 
Thanks Zin, much appreciated. Just shows much work remains in refreshing the squad in summer 2014 to clear the squad of under performing players.

From the listed squad those that could be up for turnover are:
Friedel, Gomes, Naughton, Sigurdsson, Adebayor, Lennon.

Then we have a significant amt of "stock/product" on loan which will need decisions on remaining, gaining promotion to senior squad or leaving, just a few that may want to leave, suggested as:
Khumalo, Falque, Obika, Pritchard, BAE, Carroll, Livermore, Hall, Fredericks and Holtby.

So you can imagine refreshing the squad is no way yet straight fwd and it likely Daniel will need to carry a fair amt of non-playing wages, and that must hurt or is factored in ?

As for incoming, seems to me we need to provide a quality keeper, some thought about goalscoring wingers, powerful striker, quality improvements in left fullback and CM.
