Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

It’s definitely too soon to accurately rate the window. But you can certainly rate our methods and process. And for me it’s a 0/10

Every single deal we did this summer basically fell into our lap. We are extremely fortunate West Ham needed money. Palhinha didn’t fit Kompany’s plans. And for some reason Chelsea never pulled the trigger on Simons.
Jaysus I've seen some wild statements In my short time on this site but rating this window a 0/10 is definitely the wildest I think I've ever seen on any site. Wow

Anyone know if there is a buy clause in the muani deal and if so, the price? Romano has tweeted there’s a buy clause with no obligation but I can’t find the price anywhere.

I like the idea of RKM on a try before you buy basis.
Aside from his time at PSG (which has been underwhelming but take into account how much time he spends on the bench there) he’s not got a bad return for goals and assists elsewhere.
Is there anything suspicious about PSG not getting the clause about giving us an option to buy? It does seem a bit daft of us to not want an option to buy him if all works out well. I could understand us not wanting an obligation to buy, but we will look daft if he rips it up for us in the PL and we have to send him back to PSG as a more valuable asset after a successful loan spell.
Sorry if this sounds stupid, but I am pretty knackered tonight and may have missed the obvious reason.

You can make these kind of caveats for the vast majority of every transfer btw.

Not sure you realise how impressive a year-on-year Net spend of £120M is.

Our main problem is we do not recuperate enough from sales, and are terrible at cashing in on players. For example, Brennan Johnson's stock will never be higher, and we should have looked to get £50-60M for him this summer to fund an earlier-in-the-window move for Savinho.
Again, we’ll never sell well with this chairman, because most of the industry can’t be bothered with his schtick.

120m may well be impressive, but it’s all generated by us the fans. The miserable owners won’t invest and as we saw this summer the gap between us and the major players gets bigger.

Closer to the truth than people realize.

Our footballing process is still fucked.
