Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

He's only just turned 18 and has only experience in the Belgian league. He's not ready for the Premier League and hopefully we will get him out on loan to the Championship.
I think people said that about VDV when we bought him . 18 is a number , they will know if he's ready or not .
Imagine if they said that Rooney had to wait another 4 years , plenty of other examples I'm sure .
Bring over and get him training and trialing , it will soon show .

Over the last 6 months the club have targeted Guehi, Branthwaite and Esteve...all players who play at LCB. Its clear to see what are they are targeting.

Exactly!

Did Mbuemo just have a breakout season that he can replicate?

Or, was this a one off, that he won't get close to again?

One good season doesn't make star. We've seen this scenario with Solanke already.
Mbuemo has been on an upward trajectory the last 4 years … age 21 to 24 seasons. Had good seasons in the Championship the 2 years before that in his age 19 and 20 seasons.

Look at the G+A per 90 - last year 0.69 to this year 0.71. He played at similar level last year compared to this year - just missed 13 matches last year due to injury. Though his assist numbers per 90 were higher last year and goals higher this year (maybe cause Toney was the main man last year?).

He also had a pretty decent season 3 years ago when he was 22 - He had 17 G+A in 36 starts/38 league appearances. 0.53 G+A per 90 - which is rather decent.

Only question for me is whether he is a bit of a counter-attacking/speed merchant that will be ineffective against low blocks - I haven’t watched Brentford enough to offer an opinion.

Solanke didn’t start getting regular minutes in EPL until his age 24 season - killed it in the Championship before that but who knows what Solanke would have done in EPL if Bournemouth hadn’t gone down …

We need to take a serious look at Vuskovic- who is by all accounts a generational talent, and who we already spent over 10 million on
Vuskovic and Phillips could both be ready to go this season. They may have struggled with Ange's highline but should adapt well in a normal defensive structure.

Vuskovic is a big lad with big raps on him. We didn't buy him to loan him out again.

Both players have a huge future but I would be very surprised if vuskovic doesn't have a season on loan in English football first.

Birmingham in league 1 could be a great start for 6months to see how he goes with Davies being manager there. Championship would be perfect though.

As for Phillips i think he's ready for the prem but with a newly promoted team.

Birmingham will be in Championship next season. They got promoted finishing 1st with a record points tally in league 1.

Chris Davies is an excellent coach, wouldn't mind a our young players going there, Same with Mason at WBA

This is a problem in our fanbase.

We’ve been so conditioned by Levynomics that we’re debating which one out of 2 completely different players we should sign.

Why the debate? Because they are both established PL and international players who will cost the going rate and Levy’s model only allows for one player like that per window.

What’s the point in the protests if the fans are self-perpetuating this for him?
