Eze is a superstar in the making
Grealish is the warning that Cherki forgot to listen to

An Eze decision, if you will...

Yup. Plan was to move Kane up to 300K a week plus and then build around him. Kane didn't sign and the club just went full rebuild mode. All youngsters on cheap wages. Think only three players in our current squad are on more than 100K a week. Can someone clear this up for me, 'cause I might be wrong.
But didn't we build a multi-event stadium so we could support paying higher wages to get higher calibre players and compete at a high level in a sustained way at the top end of the table?
Wasn't that the plan?
Wasn't that how it was sold to us?

Theres a finite number of good players that are available looking for new clubs. Once they move you are left with the dregs. The type of rubbish this club usually signs. Youd think people would learn that by now.

until we get a new owner we wont move up to the level we could be at, the foundations are ready. Can someone clear this up for me, 'cause I might be wrong.

You honestly think we’ll pay the fee for Eze and pay him accordingly and pay Sane £200k a week? Have you just landed on planet Tottenham?Eze is a must if we can get him... I know there are concerns about Gomes but he's free, and he covers every blade of grass in a match, remember Charlton Palmer? Not particarilly talented but work rate was second to none, for me Gomes is a must... Eze too... If Sane comes as well on a free, can't go wrong... Then we need a pucker DM and Top quality defender if Romero makes the wrong decision and leaves
It's also just a genuine misallocation of the funds we ARE spending.I copied this from another Spurs forum because it kind of explains why, in spite of our parallel size and wealth, we refuse to compete with our rivals
If Son and Romero leave this summer I think that will leave only 2 players on wages above £100K - Maddison and Kulusevski. For reference, with an almost equal turnover, Woolwich have 17 players over £100K, including 6 on over 200K a week. It will be interesting to see what calibre of player we look to bring in this window. The signing of Solanke on 90K a week was as high as we were prepared to go last summer.
Business first.
Ambition to compete at the top a distant second
Sane is free so 200k... Yes I think we will pay it... Eze... I was saying we should make sure that whatever it costs... We should do it... If not.. Give us your alternatives? You honestly think we’ll pay the fee for Eze and pay him accordingly and pay Sane £200k a week? Have you just landed on planet Tottenham?
We won’t sign Eze
Sane has never been an option because of wages.
Gomes is a possibility because he’ll cost us nothing and low wages. This is how we operate.![]()
Times like these i really feel for the aggregators. They must be really struggling. And i'm sure they have families to feed.
