Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

They’re basically ‘we are tiny tiny spurs, how could we ever attract a player at palace? how could we ever hope to buy anything but some children while being tiny tiny champions league London based spurs’.

It’s unbelievably sad, cucked behaviour. Some of our fans have bought in to the ENIC model so willingly. Replace our owners today and tomorrow the profile of player willing to come here would transform.
Anti - Spurs trolls is what they are.
Preferring to see us flailing in our rivals shadows than ruthlessly competing with them.

Ramsey offered new Villa deal

Latest from Sky Sports News' Mark McAdam:

Aston Villa have offered Jacob Ramsey a new contract.

The 24-year-old midfielder has two years left on his current deal and has been the subject of transfer speculation this summer.

Villa bosses want to protect the value of the player by offering him increased terms and do not want to sell him.

We’ll have to agree to disagree about Paulinha, we value different things from Midfielders and that’s cool. We’ll see how it plays out. I just have a strong sense of dread.

We were bad - due to Ange leaving no margin for error on tactics, players were left on an Island especially on transition - that’s a structural issue, not because players don’t fight enough.

They showed when Ange decided to pack out the midfield and sacrifice his principles in the Europa latter stages, that they were all capable of fighting, scratching and clawing for every ball.

It’s not like a player like Wharton isn’t capable of this either - see the FA Cup final.

But that is the thing. There is no generic "midfielder" for me. It is absurd generalization.

Why not make it "a footballer" or even "athlete" then?

There are attacking midfielders, there are box-to-box players, there are deep-lying-playmakers, there are defensive midfielders. And Palhinha is a brilliant defensive/holding midfielder. If you compare him to attacking midfielder, of course his passing is more limited. But you have different roles on the field and in the team. We don't need everyone to do everyone.
I think there are games where Palhinha skillset is not as useful. And I hope Frank identifies those moments. And uses him where it is suitable. All I know is that we had absolutely no one in the team to play this role before. And now we have.

Where is the evidence that Eze would even come to us, was available for sixty million, and like the MGW saga, would Palace even consider selling to us ?

Finally if Eze was that good a player, available for just sixty million, why is he still a Palace player?

You could state any one of a dozen fantasy players that we should have got instead of signing Gray and Tel.
This is pathetic.
Such a fucking small time mentality festering within our fanbase

We did, but were prioritizing 10-ish players who could be in the team alongside Maddison either out wide or as a deeper 8.

That’s out the window now, the ideal profile has changed. And this has also rocketed to #1 on the priority list above LB/CF/CB
That would be your priority list of midfield destroyer and dribbly right winger which happens to be the two players we've bought so you can defend our rancid board.

I should have been more specific - I don’t think he is a brilliant DM that’s the thing, I think he is great at a certain aspect of the job - hence why I bring up Adama Traore. As a dribbler, 1v1 Adama is near impossible to stop, but there’s more to being a winger than this.

As an example - Peak Wanyama was also a brilliant shield in front of the back 4 . He was also deceptively twinkle-toed, able to throw drop his shoulder, body swerve his way out of pressure and carry the ball upfield. He did it at a much higher level than Palhinha.

If Palhinha was as good as you say, surely Fulham would have felt it? They replaced him with Sander Berge (relegated with both Sheffield Utd and Burnley) and retained a comfortable midtable position.

Even Sheffield Wednesday have more playmakers than us and their players aren't even get paid. Its embarrassing that we had one fit playmaker, no fit goalscorers and no fit left backs coming into pre season. Romero is definitely gone next summer and I wouldn't rule out this summer just yet. What a mess!!!

We should make a move ASAP for Nick Woltemade, Bayern have officially tapped out after spunking all their jizz on & being ripped off by Varpool for Diaz. Stuttgart want around 60m euros for their star boy, bayern only prepared to pay around 50m plus add ons. Bayern see him a temp cover for muisiala then kanes long term successor.

He would be a great buy as he can play 2 positions AM & CF with good aplomb & will only get better. He can play as a 10 for time being then go on to be a deadly CF... his stats are impressive for his age (23) also see him compared with Isak for the last year.... Allows us to get him now without having to get richy out immediately (which seems an issue), cover no. 10 till nov when kulu is expected back

Didn't know anything about this boy, but took a look on youtube (yeah I know) and with his moneyball stats, this signing for 60m euro would definitely excite me, composed, strong and strikes the ball really well.
