took Dembele until his 4th here season to become prime Dembele. The revisionist history over his Spurs career (much like much loved former players) does make me laugh. Nostalgia FC bunch of croppers and editors.

There were people willing to sell Dembele up until his true breakout season of 15/16 for us.

No doubt consistency was lacking from Dembele’s game until the second Poch season, but even in his debut season he showed his quality. He was immense in the win at Old Trafford alongside Sandro, one of his first games for us. He showed power, his dribbling skill and his tenacity.
Ndombele hasn‘t shown anything comparable in our shirt yet. Some nice dribbles but no real hint that there is also any steel or energy. I haven’t even seen him make a big tackle yet. He hasn’t shown the same appetite for the game that Demble showed.

N'dombele don't do combative midfield battle never will. I see Barca making the same mistake as our fan base. He is not Dembele and never will be. I hope we are smart enough to keep him.
