Good source. Even if not Semenyo we should hopefully be able to hit the market.
Yeah, usually when you look at a forwards goals output that on paper looks good, and then see that a big chunk come in the cup competitions where standard of opposition can vary wildly, it's the cup goals that you see as a red flag. His goals/90 is insane over the past 3 seasons in the PL, though
He's scored 21 goals in 2880 minutes. That's bettered only by Isak, Haaland and Thiago, and without taking any pens either. His 0.65 non-pen goals per 90 is almost Kane levels (I believe he was at around 0.7 without pens).
Ironically, the Premier League stats actually make Richarlison look better rather than worse, the closer you look. The raw numbers are elite.
He's not been brilliant in the cups, admittedly, but I don't think just looking at league minutes is cherry picking tbh. That's the main way we tend to judge players.
And I say this as someone who constantly finds Richarlison infuriating to watch.
100% agree - striker needs to be left til summer when we know the Solanke and Muani situation.Club needs 3 players IMO
LB: Spence is a RB
CM: elite passer
LW:
They need to be top draw though, no point bringing in fillers, might as well let Odobert or Tel fight for the LW if it’s an average signings.
We really need £150m on 3 elite players not £150m on 7-8 players. The striker situation is more difficult as we don’t know if Mauni is the one or Solanke comes back plus it’s really hard to buy a top striker.
If we’re really gonna spend big on a player in January, I’d rather it be on Locatelli or Wharton. Would obviously be a lot harder to do, especially in January, but either of them would fix a lot of evils for us.

Those other three positions need sorted with starting quality players now.
We’ll never know about Muani until Frank plays him over Richy regularly.Club needs 3 players IMO

LW is far more important in Jan.
Without it our attack (in fact our entire left side!) will remain fatally unbalanced.

We definitely need a top Left Winger, I don’t know who that is though, particularly in January.
The Tottenham Transfer PolicyWe're going to play the Eze game again with the same results...aren't we?

But by your own rhetoric: it ought to be easier than CM; which would be "a lot harder to do".
I don't think it is.
The Tottenham Transfer Policy
- Identify Target
- Piss about and haggle over a couple of million
- Lose target
- Panic
- Spend more than the original players fee on a sub-par equivalent
- Repeat
I think a Wharton, who would be perfect for us, would be extremely hard to do in January. But there are guys out there like Stiller and Locatelli who we could get for probably no more than £50m
