Transfers The Winter Transfer Thread - 25/26

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

If true, Johnson will jump at the chance and add to their team, whilst we willl buy what and who exactly?

Nothing I have seen in Frank would make me back his judgement one iota.

The player wants first team football and will need it if he wants to go to the WC next year.

We have Kudus and soon the return of Kulu so he will then become a third choice option.

He had one good season, is one dimensional and cannot beat a man. In short he has everything that we don't need.

If we can get rid of him next month that money can go towards our transfer spending, and to be fair will any of us truly miss him?

The chavs are looking to offload Jackson.. i'de have him in a heartbeat over Dom and co.. dont think there's a chance in hell it'll happen.
Saying that, I've not seen them, but I'm pretty sure our Richis goals to mins have to be pretty impressive

Jackson has averaged 1 in 3 over the past four seasons, and though not prolific I'd take him over Richarlison any day of the week.

Far better, quicker, can hold the ball up and good in the air.

Whether he come to Spurs is another thing altogether.

Lets be honest. There will be no top class player coming to Spurs. Any top player will be wanted by 3/4 top clubs and we will be left with the crumbs. Anyone who thinks different is in cloud Cuckoo land. Semenyo, don't make me laugh. First we need a top manager that players want to come and play for. Then maybe.

He’s useless. Massive swerve. He has bombed at Bayern and Chelsea would rather play without a central striker than pick him, which is all you need to know.

I never understand it myself. It makes an odd situation in football, like a bell curve, where teams that should be able to attract players with pure prestige overpay them, then in the middle you have normal teams paying normal wages, and the other side there are shit teams over-paying players in lieu of prestige.

If you're a league title chasing team, you should really be able to be bonus-related in wages and not have to pay 10x wages
I think we’re probably all missing something. He was linked with a number of other EPL (and overseas?) clubs — maybe the agent played them off each other and got a brilliant deal.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was some kind of "we pay you £300k and you agree to use this agent who takes 50%" cash washing thing that comes out in the future. Not necessarily with City, but in general

Liverpool spent 440 million on "top class" players in the summer.

The top three or four clubs don't have the budget, or squad space to buy every "top class" player.

If the ENIC statement to show intent in the transfer market is true, then we should have the financial ability to compete with some of the best players in Europe.

We have had two of the very best managers in World football with Jose and Conte, and neither were runaway successes, albeit managing a club with limited resources.

Glasner has done a very good job so far, and he was a relative unknown, so we don't need a household name to manage the club, what we need is better recruitment, players with the correct mindset even if we look beyond their talent which does not always guarantee success.

He's better than sicknote.

He has scored 3 in 12 for Munich, Richy 7 in 17 hardly anything between them.

Neither are good enough in my opinion, but as I said Jackson is a better player.
I agree this is where we are at. We need to focus on just closing the gap on fucking sides like Villa and Forest hes good enough to get in their sides. Id take him at dump Richarlison just on fitness and mobility.

Mourinho was a busted flush by the time he came here, but if we’d backed Conte properly, I think he’d have had us competing for trophies. He still would’ve erupted at some point, but we might have got a bit more success before he went for Levy.

Conte wanted Hakimi, Bastoni, Barella and Lautaro Martinez, he got Spence, Lenglet, Bissouma & Richarlison.

The former is what a club who agressively pursues success goes for, the latter is what a bald little skinflint pretender goes for.

Can you imagine where we’d be as a club had we gotten those 4 players Conte asked for, and then built on it?

Kudus is a player we should never have bought in my honest opinion.

That he clearly is a player that Frank rates might say much about Frank.

Kudus can barely see a pass, does not know when to release a ball, and too often runs with his head down.

We ain't going anywhere if he is a regular starter as far as I am concerned.

In other words I don't see why Johnson is always behind Kudus, unless the Ghanaian is performing brilliantly, and he is far from doing that.
