He looked in wonderful when we played them. Would be a 10/10 signing but I’m not sure if we get him in Jan.
He would be very foolish to move here. He needs the ball played to feet rather than Porro or Vicario hoofing long balls at him.

He is also genuinely on the cusp of the world cup squad (more likely than not right now) and moving to a dysfunctional team, in a new league, in a new country is not going to help him.

He should wait until the summer.

Sadly towards the end the crowd were generally toxic towards him and I believe CE was happy to leave.

Wonderful player for us of course and repaid his transfer fee tenfold.
He was fcuking awful.
I can't recall many players being a) so bad but b) still being played so much.
There was a CL match, I think Poch was still there, and he was beyond shocking. Every time he got the ball he lost it immediately. Night have been the 2-2 away to Olympiacos

A sign of things to come is such a dumb statement.

Gallagher is an opportunistic purchase of a player out of favour, especially following bentancurs injury.

Having said that, I like what he brings to a team under the correct circumstances but his limitations need to be mitigated with technical quality
Why?
If it's a sign that we go and pay the money for what we need, then it's a good thing.
When have we previously identified a viable target and just coughed up without haggling for weeks on end?

Edit - all of the bolded bit was added after I clicked quote.
Are you having similar troubles with the forum to me on your phone?

Opportunistic only in the timing really. Gallagher’s a player we’ve clearly followed for years. Ange was very keen to get him in his first transfer window back in summer 2023z

Daniel Levy should never have had any say whatsoever.
If the Lewisisisisis stance is "if the manager wants him, then fine" then they're already doing a better job.
I would go as far as to say I don't even care if the chairman is right or wrong, it's not his job to decide.

I think the club needs to stick to a direction, and employ managers and players to suit it, rather than chopping and changing everything for a new manager. If Frank likes Gallagher well that's fine but I don't think he's the sort of manager we want with all this cautiousness. If the club (and it should) opt for a more free-flowing, possession based, attacking football, then it needs to get players for that. I'm not suggesting Gallagher isn't that but fuck what Frank wants if he's being sacked at the end of the season.
