We are unlikely to be playing in Europe next season so the last thing we need is a bloated squad of bang average players. Frank isn't even a determining factor here. Even if there was universal backing for him, the likelihood is that we need a smaller squad. This presents a great opportunity to improve quality by shedding half a dozen average players and replacing them with 2 or 3 top quality players. Easier said than done without CL football but that should be the objective. Realistically we need probably 3 wins to avoid relegation which I'm confident we will get. So, unless there is a genuine high quality game changer we can bring in, then I'm not losing my shit over not buying average players.

I thought CL winners qualified automatically

Juventus are stepping up their efforts to sign 27-year-old France striker Randal Kolo Muani, who is on loan at Tottenham from Paris St-Germain, and Spurs could look to replace him with Crystal Palace's France forward Jean-Philippe Mateta, 28, if he leaves. Daily mail via BBC

That would be an upgrade but I’d rather just not bother. Mateta has downed tools at palace this season because he didn’t get a move last summer. Doesn’t seem like the kind of player we’d want on that basis. Plus Palace fans happy to see him leave is a huge red flag.

I get what you're saying mate but this club needs to be in europe.

Its only six points away with a few decent signings it wouldn't be an impossible task

Palhinha, muani, biss, davies are out of contract in summer.(palhinha probably stays)

Scarlet and Richarlison will have one more year and likely out the door

Thats maybe 6 players out, leaving us with a 23man squad

Thats without the likes of Dragusin, and others potentially moving on for game time.

Imo Sterling is past it, finished. He's barely played for a couple of years. When he has played he has been crap. Please don't sign him just because he was once good.

Yeah can't say I'm a fan. But on the plus side the Boys got ambition and has a healthy habit of getting on the end of things in the box..

Depends why Chelsea dumped him. It could just be because he costs a fortune in wages and they have Estevao, Neto, Garnacho and Gittens who play in his position. Same reason they got rid of Madueke.
