I think he gave him opportunities, then gave up, basically
Sterling is absolutely washed, we shouldn't go anywhere near him. He has been shockingly bad since he left City.
We do need some experience in the squad but it should be players who can still contribute like Palinhina/Perisic not retirees like Sterling.
