Or perhaps wasn't going to come to Spurs anyway so we moved onto other targets...
Mate, he wouldn’t have turned down doubling his salary and a crack at Champions League football to continue playing in front of 14,000 fans at Bournemouth. He didn’t have the same options in the summer that he did in January.

We moved on to other targets because they were cheaper, that’s it. Is that so difficult to believe of our board?

Just scored and assisted . Looked very good today. Massive Spurs fan as well
We seem to have an uncanny ability to pick up the average Championship signings, your Jack Clarkes and, at least so far, Archie Grays, whilst the likes of Maddison (when he was at Norwich), Scott (who we were constantly linked with), Bowen, etc pass us by.
Plenty of talent in there, our success rate is poor...

Don't agree one bit.

Semenyo was never coming to us.

Yes, in November, when he had every team in top 6 after him. Not in the summer he didn’t.
Oh ffs.
He was linked with both United and Liverpool in summer.

Yes, he stated that he wanted to go to a team with a higher league position in November. Does that sound like someone who would have gone from the 9th placed team to the 17th placed team three months earlier?

And yet we still have aCEO and more than likely a dimwit manager who don't think we need to buy any player,on some strange belief that quality players want to come and work with the aet-piece specialist.

When do they see that happening?

Fcuking clowns.

How do you know he didn’t have other options? Just because it wasn’t all over the media doesn’t mean the top Premier League clubs weren’t interested. Players at that level don’t just sit around waiting for clubs like ours...there’s a reason he negotiated a pay rise and a release clause to move in January.

At some point you’ve got to accept Spurs simply wasn’t an option for him. Even this month, the reports say he was one of the first to turn us down.

And your financial argument doesn’t really work either. We spent £220m in the summer so do you honestly think another £20m was beyond us? Spending hasn’t been the issue since the stadium opened.

Gray is out there controlling champions league games from DM, having won games against Man City from CB. The kid can cover LB, RB, CB, DM, and 8 to a decent level in the premier league at 19. There’s no similarity between him and Jack Clarke tbh

Alex Scott is much better than Jack Clarke though, I agree. If he’d come to Spurs and been expected by some of us to be Dele straight off the bat, we’d have probably loaned him back out already. Fortunately for him, he went to Bournemouth where he could develop quietly out of the spotlight

My God.

He’s better than Jack Clarke for certain, but you write as if he’s the finished article and he’s prime Rodri!

We’re 4th in CL and 14th in the Prem which says it all about the standard of the teams we’ve faced.

He has potential, but that’s it so far.
No he didn't. You misinterpreted as that, that's you're mistake. He said he's a competent PL standard player who can cover a range of positions.

Saying he's a good player isn't as deluded as your take that Frank is a good manager.

Stones and glass houses.

His situation was nothing like Jack Clarke either. Jack Clarke has a few games and I don't know that any other side wanted him.

Everything I’ve typed there is a fact
Mate you're absolutely cooked and it's evident you just want to be 'right' then our team actually do well.

He played well second half against Frankfurt. Do you know how embarrassing you sound when you say "dominating games"...it's so cringe.

I've posted numerous stats where he is the worst performing midfielder IN THE WHOLE LEAGUE...numerous stats...many many stats and he doesnt even start as often as the other midfielders he's compared to so it's a smaller sample size and he's still worse then everyone stats wise....everyone. You ignore every post directed at you about it, it's really weird.

Do you care that we are fighting relegation? Do you just want to be right and celebrate 1 good performance out of 20? Do you justify a player being the worst performing player in his position in the league by saying he's "dominating champions league games"

Reading and comprehension issues still in the discovery phase I see

Er, no he can’t! He’s doing that because we’re short of bodies and down to bare bones, not because of his skill level.

You’re such a troll!

Do you work for the Trump Press Office?! 🤣
