It wouldn't surprise me if the board held onto Frank until the end of the transfer window and then gave him the chop and then expected whoever comes in to cope with the squad we have with no additions!

I think this is exactly what he wants

Theres been no sign at all, zero, of anything else
I dunno - our approach against actively bad teams like Copenhagen is much more front footed. We keep the ball on the ground much more and actually play some football and create chances.

In the league we barely even try half the time. OK sometimes that's caused by the opposition but my sense is Frank doesn't think the squad is capable of playing positive football against even remotely decent teams so doesn't even set us up to try. We just play the percentages and aim to grind our points that way.

I think he's very content playing this type of football as it's his comfort zone but I do genuinely belive that his long term aspiration would be to have us playing a more attractive style, even if that's still short of the style of football Spurs fans expect.

Even Brentford fans are amazed at how bad and negative we are. Brentford were never quite this ugly.

Wrong man for the job, as simple as that.

If he was, we would have beaten Bournemouth and Spam despite not playing attractive football.

We didn't and now look hopeless.

This rings true

He has constantly misprofiled players

He has from the beginning acted like the job was a complete tear down and rebuild, acrted like we were absolute shite

Thing is, hes never tried to build anything, its like he defaulted to % fottball and thats it

Find it very odd that the bbc has an article saying 'spurs consider Frank's future'. Surely he's either gone or he isn't. Makes me think it's more a vote of confidence. hope not
Snakes alive, if he gets a vote of confidence I reckon their could be a riot at the Dortmund game.

When the home fans are begging for the manager to be sacked you’d have to be absolutely mental not to follow through with it

What about Ledley until the end of the season?
Or is he a bit too bland and soft to put the rocket up their arses that they need?
Sadly, I think he'd tarnish his Legend status as a player.... He'd be worse than Hoddle & Ardiles, but without the attacking flair!

...funnily enough, I always thought Ginola would make a great manager one day (if modelling contracts allowed)
I "interviewed" him once (well, Ben Coles did the interview, but I was there) when I was training up at Capital Gold Sport in the late '90s (Cluang!)

...he spoke SO well and SO knowledgeably about football, that I thought he'd be an excellent coach one day...

Sadly, I think the punditry work and the quiet life is far more to his liking!

I don't "want" him to stay - I just don't see a viable alternative right now. 🤷‍♂️

Ever since Conte left I've been clear that I don't want a manager sacked unless they a) have us in a relegation battle or b) lose the dressing room.

I'm two games away from knowing for certain if one or both of those criteria have been met. 😭
Option a should really read 'relegation form.' Of that there can be no doubt.

Option b is the bit I'm unsure about. Is our inability to play a full 90 minutes because of Frank or because of the players downing tools? I guess the only way we'll know that is if he's shifted and we see how the players react to whomever takes charge.

It’s the decision Spurs are never willing to make. Either get behind the manager and strengthen the squad for him, or sack him and move on.

We always dawdle in these situations and refuse to make a decision, leaving the manager without the men required and demanding he improve results.

Yeah and maybe on some level he's right - our midfield is pretty limited and our front line lacks true quality, goals and is very young.

That said, we've still spent a lot of money and have a lot of depth. I'm certain a lot of other managers could get a lot more out of this squad without resorting to this nonsense we've been watching.

I think his treatment of Bergvall kinda sums him up as a manager. Our best young talent and player of the year played out of position or benched cos Frank simply doesn't trust him deeper. He'd rather not even try to play him as an 8 than risk him losing the ball.
