Problem is it doesn’t matter who the gaffer is, we often find our way past City
I did and others.Look at what Carrick is doing at United. Who was it who suggested he come to Spurs?
Not really. They have ambition, we don't.Rumours going around Liverpool Twitter, that Slots been sacked.
You just gotta laugh at this point, if he goes before Frank.
I know it's mostly in jest in here
But we are in a dire situation, we need to win that city game
I am on my knees begging for points
Us winning the championship next year vs Woolwich winning the premier league this yearI know it's mostly in jest in here

Nicked from elsewhere
Yeah I think this time we have to win it.
If you go back to pre-Poch, we had Jan Vertonghen who was so mashed in his confidence, he looked as bad as Gary Doherty. He was labelled as "shit," with a shit attitude etc.
Then we brought in a competent manager and we got our Super Jan, now regarded as one of the best CB's we've had in decades.
At this moment in time, I'm convinced that what happened to him is currently happening to the majority of our team. They have no confidence in their manager, and this is translating into their own self confidence. They're mashed ATM and need that change to a manager who will bring all that back.
I see all these posts saying our players are mentally fragile, yet I dare anyone on here to claim that after close to 2 seasons of having your faith and confidence virtually obliterated, you wouldn't also be approaching every game without a high degree of trepidation. When losing becomes the norm, no matter how mentally strong you may be, the expectation of some form of disaster is right there with you, and it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy, as that fear and hesitancy essentially makes your worst fears come true.
That team needs a manager to come in who, right off the bat, they look at and their first thought is "he'll fix this, he knows what he's doing."
That, for me, is the initial manager bounce, stop the rot and build up that belief in him and themselves from thereon.
We thought we'd get that with Frank, fixing our defensive frailties, and the initial signs were that he did. However, his ultra conservative approach has just eroded that, then the errors started creeping back in, which made him even more timid in his approach, and now we see a team that are at an all time low confidence wise.
Wow.100pc
Our team is way better than we are seeing. Honestly while it pains me to say it, only Woolwich this year are significantly better than I believe our squad could be under a good coach
I think the issue with winning that game will be that the board will see it as a sign that things are improving and decide to stick with him for even longer.I know it's mostly in jest in here

It's pretty evident that the senior players do not rank TF at all100pc

I haven't been making my point clear. He obviously didn't want PEH, Dier et al, and said he wanted the incomers
The team that Poetecoglou used to finish 5th, a few players out, a few players in, was pretty much the same squad that he used the previous season except no Dier, PEH and maybe one or two others that weren't in his plans and one or two incomers such as Solanke that he wanted. For half the season he declined to play Spence, then came out with some BS about how he was testing his will to stick in there and fight for his place..... p'leeease!
There was a full squad of players going into the season as backed as much as Conte who also had European football to contend with.
I don't know why some of these posters on here pretend Postecoglou was hard done by in the transfer window when about half the squad was injured, if the injury crises was much lesser there was an adequate squad in numbers.
Should the club have signed better players? Of course, but that's not only applicable to Postecoglou's tenure.
Anyway I don't really give a fuck about him, I'm just stating that he wasn't any more hard done by with transfers than previous managers, so his second season 17th league position may have been due to injuries but he wasn't relatively hard done by, and even when players returned from injury the results in the Premier League were still shit.
Dearie me... the Derangement.
The point wasn't "Postecoglou was hard done by" in the Summer 24 window (although he was); the point is the SQUAD and FANS were hard done by because we went into the 24/25 campaign fighting on 4 fronts, in Europe again, and WE ADDED ONE 1ST TEAM READY PLAYER (Solanke).
That was criminal underinvestment that cost Postecoglou his job and looks like costing Frank his job and makes the job of THE NEXT GUY just as hard.
Fucking Derangers would rather see us in the Championship rather than acknowledge anything which might mitigate the 24/25 season - which, as it turned out, happened to be our most successful for 40 years because we somehow won a European Trophy.
On top of that the Summer 25 window, although better than Summer 24, is being revealed to be also criminally lacking - not least because we don't have anyone in CM who can fucking pick a pass.
Christ...
