It's not difficult to understand, Frank has always worked under financial constraints at Brentford and has specialized into getting the absolute maximum out of his players and overachieving, it won't come as a surprise to anyone that that will be his remit at Tottenham and he's happy to accept that, it has nothing to do with Levy pulling the wool over his eyes...literally every manager knows what Spurs are about before they take the job.

Yeah, the fact that anyone thinks these guys sign multi-million pound contracts without understanding what they are getting themselves into is just projecting because Levy makes them sad.

I am optimistic. No one will look at this appointment as the one that puts us over the top, but I have confidence now that next season will be better and the club will head in the right direction in the immediate term.

Improved tactics, player development, stopping the underperforming of players already in place... working out how to defend a set piece at a schoolboy level... Those things alone probably make us top half instantly and we can build from there.

The squad isn't good enough for more, but heading upward instead of into a scrap this year will be a better feeling.

I think his record against the racists compared to ... well any of our recent managers should be enough to welcome Herr Frank with open arms. He's won 12 points and only given away 8 in the league against them since he got the Bees promoted.

What they don't understand is that the man they are signing up to work for will never ever as long as he lives engage in a sporting and competitive mentality, and for lifelong sportsmen like football managers, they don't even understand that they aren't even speaking the same language as this guy.

When the rubber meets the road Levy will betray them like he has betrayed all the others. He will deny them that sliver of financial backing every single other club on earth would give them.

That's where the wages to turnover gap comes from. It's not some big dramatic difference in the way of dealing, it's in insisting on staying that last little bit short in every decisive moment.

It's a poisonous and disgraceful way of operating, and every manager we've ever had has felt its wrath.

As long as this gets over the line, it is waaaaaaay different from the absolute rudderless clusterfuck that culminated in hiring Nuno. Pretty sure Ally Gold went slowly mad covering that managerial search farce.

Frank is a good man and I have faith that anyone Ange In will still give him their full backing. Really interesting to see how he gets on when some of his strengths (tactical flexibility, adapting to the opposition) are the opposite of Ange's most glaring limitations.

But how can they not know that?

Where's their due diligence? If everyone on this forum knows it, then how do they not?

So either they are idiots or they genuinely don't care because it's a multi-million pound job that, in the worst case, they get a huge payout for doing nothing.

Last manager started off well enough then nose dived nearly Relegated. This manager has to quickly get up and running starting at Lowest point should be able to impress Tottenham fans in first season. 🤞. So, COYS!!!

He won’t have Benham’s algorithm locating him star players, instead he will whatever agent Levy hasn’t pissed off recently to deal with
