It would be nice to have an announcement that we've poached a couple of their players today, before the early window slams shut at 7pm.
Hmmmm - I've inspired myself to get up off my arse and cook 2 x poached eggs on toast for brekkie![]()
When Redknapp was initially wanted by England and when Poch was flirting with RM I think the fanbase was fairly unified both times that we wanted the manager to stay. With Redknapp the months following the Nelsen and Saha window really undid a lot of his good graces with fans (as well as the court case making the club a circus) but I think when the links first surfaced we were a solid league outfit under him and it was hard to see who took the next step, baring in mind we had just come off the back of trying a sexy European manager in Ramos. All I can remember with Poch was desperation across the board that he would sign a new deal and put the rumours to bed. That to me is indicative.
Our fan base are almost always split into 2 opposing camps when a manager goes. Then again, none of our managers have been poached.
But let's say Ange was poached, I have no doubt there would have been as big a cunt off as we've seen since he was sacked.
I take it you're underwhelmed?52 Premier League games - winning 54, losing 60 and taking 200 points from a possible 456
Wow, Frank really just came out of no where didn't he! Well done to the club on keeping this one secret!![]()
Today, for the first time, I tried gently tipping the eggs into a non-stick pan of boiling water, with a splash of white vinegar. I was expecting a mess, but they came out lovely - on homemade sourdough toast, with a tiny dribble of marmite. They were delish!
FFSWe earned £11.3m this season in prize money from the PL.
5th placed Newcastle (are you sitting down) earned £45m
With regards to Conte, I prefer the terms "Home truths" and "Calling out the board" rather than "melting"It's a fallacy that we just continually change coaches, and there is often circumstances in addition to poor form such as Conte melting, AVB totally losing the dressing room and the fans rejecting Nuno from day 1.

The happiest of them are deeply depressed - and it goes steeply downhill from there.
Indicative that Frank might be the real deal. No one is trying make out that they're better off without him.Indicative of what? Us being split as a fanbase, Frank being an excellent coach, or both?
To be fair, Mourinho's first 11 game of the 20/21 season had us top of the league. Conte's start in his 2nd season had us 3rd after 10 games on 2.3ppgWe've looked a serious side, i mean proper can take on anyone, for about 4 months since around January 2019 and that was in Contes first season.
I take it he's yet another cultist.I take it you're underwhelmed?
Be realistic here. He got promotion to the PL. In their whole history theyve only had 5 (?) seasons in the top div and the last one was 1947. They were in div 4 down a few years back, not too disimilar to AFCB's climb under Howe. Getting out of that Champo with the budget of a tiny club compared to the likes of Leeds, Boro, West Brom is a really fine ahcievment. Staying up quite comfortably ditto.
They really do not have a PL set up. Not really champo either.
Look at what Howe has done with a team with a PL set up and a decent budget.
Agreed. But on an entirely different note, absolutely love your profile picture!!!Agree with most of this except for the Kulusevski point, genuinely don’t believe he is creative enough to play CAM - he cannot pick out a pass and therefore is ineffective at CAM.
Agree wholeheartedly that we need two brand spanking new starting wingers!

"Just outbid City..."Wonder what the club / levy statement will be about playing style and the Tottenham ‘wat’ this time. As many have said Frank isn’t ultra defensive but in the PL his been mainly known for a more counter attack style or perceived to be. Anyway let’s see what he can do can he coach a more structured team which can defend and attack in equal measure. One thing I’m concerned about would be his choice of players. Mbeuo defo go for him but we need an eze type or just out bid city for cherki. But would these be frank type players. He must know we can’t just be a functional team it has to have some element of flair. He needs to look at the poch and Harry blueprint ts and go one better.
As a fellow two-first-namer myself I will have you know there is absolutely nothing boring or uninspiring about us!Just can't get excited about Thomas Frank. Very boring and uninspiring signing. And any bloke with two first names is sus.
