He may well get them all but I suspect we wont let him bring the fitness coach and will want him to use what is in place. That's the usual story.

Anything to do with health and fitness needs truly gutting at our place! My old school matron was better than our current lot.

i love windy and they do good work on the extra inch but nate was simping for ange waaaay too long to have any respect from me anymore. hipster analysis of the worst kind

A lot of us wanted the all out attacking philosophy to work with Ange.

Good to hear other opinions. Doesn't mean you have to agree with them.

I like Nathan because he gets into the tactic weeds and bring up potential transfer names i've never heard of.

How is it a poor competition? Tell that to the 200K plus Yids who celebrated at the trophy parade!

It's not a poor competition. It's a good way to weed out the real spurs fans from the trolls though.

1. Real spurs fans say they're STILL buzzing and it's a major european trophy. #europeanchampions

2. Trolls/Gooners in disguise - poor competition, not major trophy, fluked the entire thing, doesn't deserve celebrating, not in the least bit excited.

Anyone who falls in the latter category (like twat1882) should be banned from the forum. Anyone who reacts negatively to this post is obviously in the second category too and should likewise be banned. Negative reactions include negative emoji responses

There fucking shouldn’t be, a manager who has a big staff gives me the impression they want a big operation. Do it properly.

I wouldn't get too excited, that guy is a journo for the mighty Hounslow Herald.

It’s only a gut feeling but I am happy with Frank. Feels a bit like a Redknapp or Poch type managerial hire, getting someone who has done well lower down the prem food chain. I know I will probably eat my words but I am comfortable with this appointment.

Maybe a while back I had a different view but the more I have read on him the more he interests me.

Good luck to Frank. Assuming he is our manager, it’s an extraordinarily inexperienced hire. He’s only managed at two senior level clubs. At Brøndby he left in pretty poor circumstances and at Brentford he got the job via the back door of being assistant manager. Both those clubs are small in comparison to us and both with very limited expectations.

He’s never won a trophy and hasn’t managed in Europe beyond failed Europa League qualification attempts. I don’t think he’s played much at any decent level. Ryan Mason had arguably experienced far greater in his coaching and management career.

I’m guessing that the way things went with Mou and Conte especially have burnt bridges with elite level coaches but honestly this is such an underwhelming hire. Many felt the same with Ange so let’s see how it all goes.

The club has a taste for winning now and we should rightly demand that it continues. We pay among the highest prices in world football and that should, with all the income being put in, be warranting top level recruitment both on and off the pitch. Right now, the whole package looks very mediocre.

How many games in Europe did Poch manage have before joining us?

We have seen Mason in charge of the first team, and that was "underwhelming" as well.

He's not inexperienced and pound for pound spent in the Premier League would be in the top two teams.

I don't see how anyone can correlate success at one club compared to another with a managers experience. If that was the case why were serial winners Jose and Conte failures?

Jose had hardly played at a level considered proficient had he, unless the iconic clubs of Rio Ave, Belenenses, Sesimbra, and Comércio e Indústria are a true measure of success for a manager?

We have hired a winning coach in Asia and Scotland who won us a Cup in what was in all fairness a competition full of mediocre teams (which I am grateful for) but as a multi-title winner he had no plan, experience of the Premier League and was a poor coach who couldn't handle the task of managing a team in two competitions, sacrificing one of them.

That was an insult to us who "pay among the highest prices in world football"

Frank will take control of the players, improve them, set out a winning mentality and system, none of which I saw under the Aussie fraud.

agreed i did too and i like and appreciate tactics talk but nate blindly defended ange way too long to keep following. it was obvious that the shit wasn't working and the former footballers saw it long before the hipsters did

Just noticed according to the BBC fixtures the new managers first game is the super cup final v psg... Talk about baptism of fire!!!!. think psg are MAYBE the best team I've seen since maybe Barca the late 90's?

i just don't buy the inexperienced argument. frank has cut his teeth and has been grinding it out in the best league in the world for multiple seasons. when the biggest clubs with the best players are up next on the schedule he won't be intimidated and will know what to do. i'm guessing he's very happy to do it with our higher level of players too. i don't really see how some can be so pessimistic about this hire. no guarantees but there's a lot here to be hopeful about.
