Yeah we are aware how xg works, you don't need to tell me but you've basically explained how it works over an isolated match, if those very same or similar actions happen over a selection of matches leading to a similar outcome then that's called a trend. IMO A 5 game streak is big enough to tell me where we are currently trending hence why I posted the chart and added my own caveat's to it.

But interestingly the two teams right next to us in that table are the two best teams in the league. So what does that tell us? Clearly we are in good company. I’d be more concerned if we were at the opposite ends of the table to those two.

Not much really as Sunderland are just below them, we can really focus us and what we are doing right/wrong and where we can improve - early days but an interesting trend after all.

Could'ves, should'ves and would'ves are re-writing history.

It was right that Postecoglou was sacked but that doesn't diminish his excellent first season or the Europa win.. And FTR I want Frank to win something this season too.

I'm not too fussed with the forward play under Frank. Defenses win you titles.

Are there any matches where we've got a better result than we "earned"?

(The only match I havent seen highlights of was B'mouth and we got zero anyway)

I thought our wins v B'ley, City and Spam were fully deserved.

The 2-2 at Brighton sounded like they were on the ropes for the last half hour and North Stand Chat guys saying they were releived to get the point. If anything we couldve got all 3.

Burnley are going back to the Championship. We should be pumping them 3-0
There is a blueprint to beat City. We executed it very well but then for some reason we are City's bogey side.
Bournemouth battered us... if it was 6-0 to them you couldn't have argued with the result.
West Ham was 50/50 first half but the sending off turned the game. Plus they are a basket case club
The Villareal game was awful. We won that game with one shot on target.
A point at Brighton (based on recent history) is very good but Frank needs to sort the slow starts out

In Summary: It is clear we are going to play low risk football this season with a focus on being defensively solid. This is fine but I don't want to see this bollocks against teams like Wolves. We should be out the blocks and at them like a rabid pitbull. I want the opposition shitting themselves and thinking about how they can avoid a six, seven nil battering. Not some slow, ponderous, walking football. It's fucking Wolves. They haven't won a league game all season. If we give them anything I'd be really dissapointed. No Palhinha for a start. The most overrated player I've seen in a Spurs shirt for a long time.

Honestly, that's some of the biggest shite I've ever read. Whether you're just doing it for attention, or you're just one of them who loves to moan and love to say "I told you so" at any point, but seriously? 5 PL games into his reign and you're already moaning and writing him off.

We had all the attack no defence football under Ange, people hated it. We had defence first and attack later under Mourinho, people hated it. A large portion of our fan base are so impossible to please that there genuinely isn't any point in your support of the team. You'd rather see them fail so you can boast your take on it than actually succeed.


As for Palhinha, if you think he's overrated, then that's very much a you issue.

I said only slightly lucky- I don't think we have gotten away with too much, but certainly I feel like we could have given up a few more possibly result-changing goals along the way.

I don't blame Frank so much though, the attack he was given, with the injuries to Maddison and Kulusevski, have severely limited his options. I appreciate very much that he's bought very well so far in what he has been given, in Kudus and Simons, who are clearly levels above the Ange sanctioned purchases of Johnson and Tel.

And this game to game comparison stuff is silly... there are so many factors you need to consider... squad composition, injuries to key players, who was the referee, any red cards, time of season the game was played, team form, did we have a European game before, how many hours before... I could go on.

You should read some of your posts... they top mine for shite!!! Like this one... I have supported Spurs for 40 years... held a season ticket for 10 of those, and went home and away for 5 of those and let me add in those 5 seasons we were utter shite pumping long balls to Ruel Fox and Jose Dominguez so you can fuck right off telling me what sort of supporter I am and that I'd rather see them fail... you don't have to sacrifice attack for being defensive and vice versa... and so fucking what if I don't think Frank is good enough for us. Until he does something meaningful in football he is the Brentford manager who kept them relevant on a small budget. We are Tottenham Hotspur not fucking Brentford. You want support a club with the sole aim to survive then fuck off to the Gtech. For me, there genuinely isn't any point in the likes of you supporting our team. You're fucking worse than the Korean happy snappers. You've probably got half and half scarf haven't you?
