Leverkusen sacked Ten Hag after 2 league games: Almost immediately found his replacement in Kasper Hjulmand of Denmark.

Inter back in the day sacked Gasperini after 82 days and 5 games, and then Ranieri after 186 days and 35 games: They still have no problem finding managers.

Roma last season first sacked a club legend in De Rossi after 246 days and 30 games, and then Juric after 53 days and 12 games: Didn't discourage Gasperini from leaving Atalanta after a decade to take the job this summer.

Dortmund last season sacked Sahin after 205 days and 27 games: Niko Kovac took the job 2 weeks after.

Milan last season first sacked Fonseca after 182 days and 24 games, and then Conceicao after 182 days and 31 games: Allegri took the job this summer.

Our public image wouldn't suffer one bit even if we were to sack Frank tomorrow, don't worry. This simply shouldn't be a consideration in the decision.

The thing for me is that Franks talk of things taking time gets thrown in his face when its FOREST who just beat his team comprehensively.

They were in a worse state than we when Dyche took over, half as many games ago, and already they look more sorted than us

He made his own bed by keeping most of these players and sending out on loan all our academy players. Im
Sure they would have respected and bust a gut for the club.
i think his biggest fuck up in regard to players is bergvall. was our best player last year and hes been shunted out for what? hes not looking happy now too, not like hes been shunted out for class is it? id much rather see him than what we have been seeing.

And Sarr. Started the season well. Mostly dependable when called on. Just dropped.

I know AFCON but why didn’t he play yesterday? Fuck AFCON.

Looks like someone is still extremely angry about Ange being sacked. Is this what it looks like when someone cares more about the manager than the club?

I like how you conveniently left out the reason why literally the entire backline, sans Porro, went out with hamstring injuries last season. Was it because the idiot manager failed to rotate? Or was it because his system had the defenders turning and sprinting back to chase down attackers a dozen times game? You don't get to cry about injuries to defenders when hamstring injuries are a feature of his tactics.

The Ange Cultists spent the better part of two years excusing your dear leader of any responsibility for the club's bad form. Not his fault all the defenders had hamstring injuries for two years straight. Not his fault that the attackers passed the ball in a big U pattern and looked clueless every match. Not his fault that he played Son as an ineffective touchline winger. Not his fault that we couldn't defend a set piece. Not his fault that he repeatedly taunted the supporters and cupped his ears at them. It's all on the players and Levy.

And now you're showing your true colors by emerging from under your rock to gleefully celebrate Ange's successor struggling to turn the club around. After all, it's more important to be right and say "heheuehue I told you so!" than to see the club you allegedly support be successful. You want to talk about hypocrisy, that's exactly the behavior you lot accused everyone of last year.

You care more about the previous manager than this club. Maybe you can become a fan of whatever MLS club falls for Ange's con next.

Well I'm certainly glad you've dropped the "poor me" act pretending that you were somehow victimised by the bad bad Postecoglou fans. That's a step in the right direction.

As for the rest of your strawman drivel, it might make you feel better to make up a complete fantasy of my position but there's is zero evidence that I wanted Postecoglou to stay - because I never said that. If I did then you should easily be able to find it using the search function - but I doubt you actually care about little things like evidence and facts.

What I did say is simply that changing the manager wasn't going to magically fix our issues and those pretending "any half decent manager will have us flying up the table" were most likely going to want the next manager out by January because they can't or won't confront the reality that our squad is midtable at best - and, if anything, getting worse.

So it has proven to be. I'm sorry if me being right annoys or offends you and I'm fully aware "I told you so" is a petty and small-minded attitude but hey... I'm human 🤷‍♂️

Spot on. Fans are way too precious about sacking managers. It only seems to be this country where we have this weird idea of 'giving them 2 or 3 seasons' largely i think down to Alex Ferguson. On the continent they dont give a shit, just keep changing until you find someone suitable. I guess my annoyance is we're shit at it and no one seems to hang around long enough to bin off some of these players as we're back to new bloke assessing the squad again.

The worrying thing for me is that this club just seems to corrupt everyone that comes into contact with it.

You look at what Dyche is doing at Forest, and you'd look at Frank whilst he was at Brentford and think that surely he could come here and do the same? I was expecting us this season to be perhaps not all that exciting, but at least look well coached and competent.

Instead you watch us and you'd be pretty convinced that Frank is an utter halfwit, I'm pretty certain we'd have the same effect on Dyche if we took him on.

They don't respect him that's for sure.

Say what you want about the previous coach, they never stopped running for him and he led them to a trophy, they're probably looking at this guy thinking he's a massive downgrade.
The outpouring of tributes from the players when Ange was sacked said it all. Didn't think they were too please with the decision in all honesty. Even Romero posted it right after the announcement of Frank's appointment. Was all so obvious the strong dynamics and relationships the players enjoyed with Ange, that any faltering in Frank's performance and relationship to the dressing room would just result in strains to appear sooner than later.

When are people going to hold the players accountable? We have sacked 5 managers since 2019. It’s the players. It’s the fucking bang average 40 million dollar players that don’t give a damn about playing for spurs. I hope he played the kids from here on out
Recruitment is 100% the biggest issue at this club and most people have recognised that for years.

It's the only real needle mover in football. Get recruitment right and you'll do well, simple as.

Years of Levy penny pinching has fucked us. We have gradually allowed the technical level of the squad to drop.

When we have spent big It's generally been on middling dross (Richy, Solanke, Johnson, Tel).

Have had a completely average midfield for years. Bentancur + PEH under Conte is the best it's been (and thats saying something). Since that we have padded it out with 3 youngsters in Sarr, Gray, Bergvall and now Pauline on loan.

Meanwhile scum have spent 100m x 2 on Rice and Caciedo.

Our two centre backs are the only players in the squad who get close to the "elite" discussion.

Cannot believe its still Postecoglou all over this forum. I honestly thought that spell at Forest would have been the end of that argument where he's been shown up by Nuno and Dyche either side. It was 100% right to sack him, he was lucky to get 2 seasons but that doesnt mean Frank is doing a good job because he isnt and he'll also be gone at some point in the next 6 months. Both have been limited at best but both have been stitched up by appalling recruitment and lazy arsed players. The club as a whole is a mess.
BRAVO 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻

All the more he should have played him because he will be fucking away!
I heae Sarr really is apparently struggling emotionally. But hes making the squad so should play. He has loads of critics here but he does have mobility and is combative. I looked at that side yesterday and thought who is going to run with Anderson? Old man Bentancur dont make me laugh....very poor management tactically from Frank.

The issue isn't simply being wary of sacking managers (although I admit I'm someone who is loathe to do so unless they lose the dressing room) - the bigger problem is the COST.

All the money need to pay off the Coaching team you've just sacked and pay for the new coaching team to come in is money that is desperately needed to pay for genuine elite WORLD CLASS talent. We could hire Klopp tomorrow but he ain't turning Palinha and Bentancur into a gegenpressing behemoth.

Look at our squad. It's... dire. Not one single elite talent to help bring the rest along with them. I don't even know where to begin fixing it...

6 months in, Frank pre match talked about how great it was to have a few days on the training ground, and then the team serves up that.

That to me is really bad. It just shows that whatever he is doing, and asking of these players, it isn't working.

There is no doubt in my mind the players aren't behind him. There is no way they are busting a gut for him. He doesn't command the respect. The performance yesterday was that of players goign through the motions. For me, Frank was damaged goods after the Chelsea and Woolwich performances, no way back for me and I will stick by that, nothing I have seen since changes my mind. We need a new manager. I'd rather follow the Chelsea model of sacking underperforming managers until we get it right, rather than giving a lame duck lots of time.

We also need to replace urgently quite a few players, but it's not total failure. We have some talent, but we need a new striker / LW, and we need to upgrade on Vicario, Porro and Bentancur.

Do that and things can turn around quickly.

It's not rocket science.
