It means we still have deadweights from Ange..... I don't know what is so odd. It makes perfect sense.
Don't put words in my mouth. I said I'm not too worried about the home form because we will get better at home eventually. It always does.....
If only there were someone becoming available who'd had the minerals to ruthlessly shift all the deadweight at Spurs previously - and promote promising youth

Time to sack him. The problem is the next bloke will be gone within a season too.
Some people here still can’t grasp how utterly pathetic this squad is -and spare me the Europa League bollocks, Ive seen better lower tier Championship sides than Man Utd that night. We all watched it: a freakishly lucky run, dreadful football, and the same nonsense ever since.

This isn’t about talent as much as a complete lack of professionalism and integrity. I genuinely loathe this squad.

For what it's worth, I think Frank needs a Jan window to start the process of getting rid of some deadweight. If you were to buy 2 new players (there has to be a realistic chance of signing) in the window and get rid of two in the window, who would they be, and what would your starting 11 be in February?

I am finding it very hard to disagree with you

"Out of date" is odd because that's not a phrase normally used in that way - perhaps you mean "past its best". If you Google "past its best" and "squad" you'll get lots of examples. If you Google "out of date" and "squad" you only get people talking about computer game databases. It's fine, I understand now what you meant, it is an odd turn of phrase as I've explained, but it's no big deal. :)

Apoligies for putting words in your mouth, let's look instead at your exact words:

"we are doing okay away and not that worried about our home form"

If you read that, wouldn't you assume or summise that the author was reasonably happy with how things were going? I mean if you think the away form is "okay" and the home form is something you are "not that worried about", doesn't that imply you are reasonably contented? :/

Meh it's all fine, your choice of phrases and descriptions of your feelings towards the club seem very odd to me, but as long as you know what you mean, then it's all good. :)

There’s no doubt he (and his team) upped the levels of nearly every player.

I always see talk about Jan and Toby being our best defensive partnership in recent memory and world class. They weren’t even first choice in their own country!

Jan and Toby were absolute class mate. Especially as a pairing, they were almost telepathic. The only reason they weren’t first choice at centre half for Belgium was because of Kompany, which is understandable cause he was also top class.

Would like to know what he thinks of these that we see nearly a dozen of every single game.

  • Do midfielders just refuse to take the initiative to make themselves available for short passes? But then players look like they're instructed to go out of their way to seek wide areas in general, as has been discussed here endlessly.
  • Does Frank consider these high percentage passes that our current strikers cannot get on the receiving end of, and therefore think everything will start clicking once we get a decent target man in Solanke or a January signing out there? Seems a little bit too optimistic to me. These are just low percentage plays regardless of the personnel, even though a striker whose second touch is usually a tackle in Richarlison certainly doesn't help things.
This in its current form is just giveaway after giveaway, that much is clear.

How do you see the next few weeks playing out with Frank mate?
Honestly, I can't see us winning another game under Frank but our useless board seem oblivious to what's going on so I expect it to run for a bit longer. Maybe the Brentford away game on New Years Day could be the final straw as I expect that defeat will leave us around 16th/17th and dangerously close to the relegation zone. I think 40/1 for us to be relegated is a massive price.

I bought premium tickets for Liverpool (500 quid) coming from Belfast lol

Not all of your fans are in London genius. English is broad and used in many different ways in different countries......
Its called "common sense"

Like I said, you are like a woman, you assume and overthink things. I just said I'm not too worried about the home form because eventually we will get better at "home". You look at the league, most if not all teams win more at home..... that is how its been and it will be so in the future.

Im a man, I'm simple, most men don't go out to nit pick out on each phrase this and that on someone. Seems like you have too much time on your hands Jim. Go get yourself a girlfriend or a boyfriend. I don't care.

They’ll keep him until after the World Cup when Poch comes back to a squad without a single one of his old players. Not sure Davies will be here next season.

The painful rebuild Poch spoke about took 6 years and 5 other managers and will end in the same place 😂

I'm not a woman (and you should not consider that all women or all men are the same, that's an incredibly backward way of thinking), I'm simply autistic, which for me means taking words quite literally, and trying to understand their meaning perhaps more than most people might do. That does sometimes make it difficult for me to understand English when it is used by people who don't have it as their first language, as I tend to notice quirks or unusual usages more than most people would. Sorry if it came across as offensive, it most certainly wasn't intended to, I was merely trying to understand what you were on about.

Having said all of that, if you say something on an internet forum that seems a bit out of kilter with what everyone else is saying (i.e. your comments about our away and home form), then it is likely that someone will ask about it, and may analyse the details. That's not 'overthinking', it's simply trying to understand what the fuck someone is on about when they say something that sounds weird given the current context.
