Doesn’t matter who the manager is, unless we upgrade the relegation scrapping idiots. Not advocating keeping Frank, Inwould sack him before Palace, but we have to get three footballers in next week. Guardiola or Alonso wouldn’t get these fools playing cohesively
Who knows if Glasner would come but he does not look like he would be daunted by the challenge.
He also gives the impression of a man of honour, so I think if Frank was dismissed we would have an interim until the end of the season.

I think Glasndr would be okay, as in not afraid of the pressure or the players or the challenge. No guarantees but more likely to do well than Frank, in my opinion. Nothing flashy but very solid.
I dont run the club and fear we will either hang on to Frank for too long or appoint another person who isn't able.

I’m not convinced that it would. He’s another one who is happy to cede possession and spam the ball direct asap. He.’s got a more sophisticated plan than Frank from what we’ve seen so far but it’s still not a philosophy that’s ever worked long-term at Spurs.
Next Spurs coach probably needs to be more from the school of dominating games. Obviously a bit more measured than Ange but still closer to Poch, Klopp, Pep mentality of pressing to get the ball back and dominate the ball.

I don't disagree but top managers are like top strikers at present.

I don’t think a good manager has may other options, other than say Poch blooding youngsters and clawing them back from loans. The players are dreadful
I get that but that’s why football executives earn millions.
They are meant to be elite themselves when it comes to recruiting the right coaches and sports science people.
Just because they can’t get a Pep or Klopp doesn’t mean that they have to get a coach that doesn’t fit the club
I fear reversing this mess will take some doing!
That’s why Xavi should be our main target. He’s the only one out there who would change this club in how we play. Whether he would come is another thing but he’s out if a job,wants a project,fluent in English and most of all every player would hang off his every word. His presence alone would lift every player in that dressing room and players would want to come and play for him.
If you are player and you get the chance to go to Tottenham or Man Utd and have been offered the same money I still think Man Utd win every single time. Put Xavi in the mix and we get the player. If it’s Frank we have no chance.

He’s still a bit inexperienced as a coach but far more experienced than Arteta was. He’s also not afraid to speak his mind on ref’s and transfer activity.
I think that’s what Vinai is most afraid of. He wants a safe, corporate friendly option.
For me it would still be Xavi all the way. He’d lift every player instantly and he’s also been pining for a prem job since he’s been out of work. Hes an obsessed student of the game so will definitely have a plan for how to adjust his football to the league.

As an aspiration, absolutely; in terms of today's reality, we're a long way behind 'a team like Villa's'.
Agreed with everything, although our player recruitment could have been far more effective had we had a better scouting network and precise strategy of what sort of players we needed to build a consistent top 4+ squad.
He’s strong minded and what I loved about him at Barca was he knew when to put a kid in the team. He wasn’t scared to do it. Also look how quickly those young kids progressed. Could he take Gray and Bergvall to another level? Fuck knows but Frank won’t. Pragmatic risk free football is not for me and that’s why I’m not making the 850 mile round trip for home games till Frank goes or we actually look like a team that might create or score goals when we go forward.

We go down this road we deserve everything we get. Frank was sold on being a Harry Redknapp flexible manager but appears to be more on the negative side. If the Frank experiment fails then it’s more than clear this club doesn’t ever need another one.
It’s not about the best manager it’s about the best manager to fit this club. I can see arguments for Poch, Xavi, Iraola etc as they are more in our style.
Whats worse is we have bought a Pochettino squad. Lots of talented youngish high energy rough diamonds. In Frank we have a manager who probably needs more older disciplined players.
Our 2 DoF model is failing. This club needs to go back to its core values and it needs a manager, DoF and transfer strategy that is integrated and not all over the shop.
Somebody needs to get this sentence on Vinai's desk.
This is a club with a culture and history of inspiring and entertaining. People will make the commitment for that. Nobody asked Vinai to change the culture to pragmatic, risk-averse, coward-ball.
Get it on Frank's desk as well. If he really is a smart coach, he still has time to change course and respect the culture of the club he found when he walked into the training ground. It is also a club that has achieved more than he could dream of achieving in its past.
