Never forget, that for all his flaws, Ange was so much worse.

From 17 games Frank has collected 22 points.

Ange has collected a grand total of 5 points from his last 17 PL games.

I don't particularly rate Frank, but compared to Ange, he's a different class.

I don’t care for either one of them, and I think both are deeply flawed. Beyond that, I don’t really know how to compare them. Both had to deal with deficient rosters because of totally failed transfer strategies, yet neither one seems able to get the most out of the rosters they do have.

Instead of comparing them, I’d rather just have neither.

At least Frank is willing to experiment and try to find the best solution.

If you remember, BJ was always the first guy on the team sheet under Ange. There was no changing that. Just that should've been sackable.

Both had some injuries, but in Ange's case it was self-inflicted. In Franks case, it's inherited. I'm thinking mainly of Kulu, Madders and Solanke. Ange ran the players into the ground, and had a reputation for doing so also at other clubs.

Frank seem to be handling his players relatively well. We're not really seeing any long term injuries. I don't believe this is down to luck.

Ange said, that's just who we are. Played high line even with 9 men. He was proud of never making any adjustments to his gameplan.

Frank is not so retarded. He can admit he get things wrong, and need to improve it.

So based on approach, Frank is way ahead. At least there is hope as long as you're trying. Ange was too thick to even try. No wonder he only got 5 points from his last 17 PL games. Maybe the worst PL manager of all time. Frank will never be mentioned in that category.

If you think it's bad under Frank, just remember the fat fuck from last season, and it will have a calming effect.

Both are sackable offences. Not saying TF should be sacked but in the past he would have been.
Usually yes. But what the club communicated last season was that being losers was acceptable. We just kept losing week after week. Remember we allowed the manager to lose 22 games. That was a new low, and becomes part of the culture at the club. It makes Franks job much harder. He's taking over a bunch of losers, who think they're good because they won a second rate competition.

I've been anti-Frank for a long time but will start backing him. He's trying to really turn this around, and he needs the backing of the supporters.

I think we're about to have a pretty decent run soon.

I think this point about club culture is really, really important. Culture is hard to change, and does not change quickly. This is a club that has grown to accept losing, and we have so many young players in the squad who are learning that losing is acceptable.

I’m not saying it has to be Poch, but the next manager has to come in and not be afraid to do what Poch did when he first came in: toss out established players, bring in a new generation, etc.

You certainly don’t compare them by using Franks first set of matches against Ange’s last set. The fuck is that all about?

spursfan76 spursfan76 - do both their first set of results and see what happens. Doubt it will support your position.

He's a troll. Don't waste you time on him.

Compare Frank with Frank. All going to plan.
"Whilst it was clear that Frank wanted to control possession with his 4-2-3-1 formation, Brøndby barely created any chances. Even against the worse teams in the league, it was a fight to score goals, and when it happened, it often seemed like it was more down to the individual class of the players rather than the strategy working as intended.

On the sidelines, Frank often looked helpless, and while he was generally well-liked amongst the fans because of his communication skills and modern leadership style, cracks began appearing in the foundations." - - The shaping of Thomas Frank and the early years at Brøndby

"Squads". In UK football, we call them "squads".

I know it's not important, but at the same time, I know it annoys quite a few people on here, and I don't see any reason why we can't all make the effort to use the correct terminology for the sport in the context of the location it's being played in. 😉

That aside, I agree entirely with the thrust of what you're saying - our managers have certainly failed to get the best of our of squads for long time now... 😔

4 defeats and a draw in our last 6 ...

Just don't see what he's trying to do playing 433 with the players he has, without Left footed forward thinking players we are finding it hard to put left sided passes together

Frank deserves a winter transfer window+ Maddison & Solanke to be available then see where we are.
