And also saying we’ve conceded less goals and had more clean sheets. What? By playing defenders in defence? Having the first choice keeper play every match? Almost full matches by our centre half captain and centre half vice captain? Palhinha as almost a third central defender? No! Really? We are better in defence now? I’m fucking stunned.

A fair number of posters need to accept that their “anyone but Ange” should have been “not Ange, but not someone just as ineffective”.

💯 there's a fuck ton of hypocrisy going around as our season seemingly goes down in smoking of ruins BUT what was true for Ange remains true for Frank - the ingredients are simply not good enough for the chef.

Just because the Derangers couldn't accept that last season doesn't make it any less true. The one time in the last 4 years we've looked any good at all was when Bissouma made the 6 position his own. He couldn't sustain that so the project fell away but we need a genuine World Class string puller in midfield. Desperately.

It was a lot more than just Bissouma though. And tbh that run of 10 games did mask some pretty fortunate results. We were never like Klopp's peak Liverpool !

For me Frank is not getting much out of this team, average as they are, and the inconsistency is weird. Feels like they don't believe in him or at least it doesn't feel cohesive. Still, we should spend in Jan and see where it gets us. hopefully along with Kulu back soon.

That first ten was lucky as fuck. Biss was bossing I thought and got sent off away at Luton IIRC? Then the injuries started, form dropped and the luck went away. Was pretty dire from then onwards.

Stupidly, I’d still turn up or switch on thinking “this is the corner turner” and the corner never came. Don’t even have that now. Just assume we won’t win matches. Didn’t watch the match yesterday. Couldn’t be arsed. Doubt I’ll watch Sunderland. Just want to hope again.
