I mean fair play to anyone that was anti-Frank from the start but I think even the most staunch detractors must be surprised at how awfully he's done.

I think the board have got it wrong, and it's basically the exact same mistake they made with Nuno, but I can also see how they convinced themselves Frank would be a solid appointment. Like, even if you remove the fact the football is awful, I think most people felt he'd be a pretty safe pair of hands and steer us to at least 7th or 8th.

Almost all managerial appointments are, ultimately a punt and it's kind of amazing just how bad Frank has managed to fail on pretty much every level.

- We thought he would be popular and likeable. He's been weak and the players don't respect him.

- We thought he would improve players. He's made them worse.

- We thought he'd play at least vaguely attractive football. It's been utter dross.

- We thought he'd be fine with the press. He's been a terrible figurehead and made countless gaffes.

I think about the only thing he's done well is player rotation, but even that's been to our detriment when we've lost momentum in key games due to pre-planned subs...

We've truly rolled snake eyes with Frank. It's gone as badly as it possibly could've.

It's baffling, because this is a manager whose front 3 scored 50 goals between them last season, but playing none of the football that would produce that. It's not even like Brentford had Modric and Iniesta behind them, supplying
To be fair to Frank, his options at Brentford in Schade, Mbeumo and Wissa are better players compared to his options now in Tel, Odobert, Muani (doesnt want to be here) and Richarlison

However, we see no attacking patterns for the most part so there is no defending him.

Didn’t want him because I didn’t think his football would translate and he’s never really won anything.

Was encouraged by pre season and the City game.

Wanted to support him and not blame another coach but his own comments killed that for me.

Not really shocked it’s gone this way because we’ve seen it before.

Glasner getting the sack today, follows a pattern of manager speaking out against their owners...Nuno, Maresca, Amorim and now Glasner - come on Frank call Vinai a prick in your next press conference.

It’s a midtable squad at the very worst. He’s largely had a defensive stability that wasn’t there last season.

He recruited the Neanderthal’s favourite in Pahlinha

He based his open play game plan around Porro and Kudus crossing aimlessly.

Some of the players have serious attitude issues. But generally it’s not about ability On ability it’s easily a top half squad

It’s a combination of shit attitudes and a coach who cannot turn it around

JP has a good attitude and is one of
Our few players with credit this season.

I was happy we sacked Ange. I was happy that they gave Frank a try. I believed he would be able to change up to manage us. I’d seen how Brentford attacked and thought he’d do it with better players. But it’s been building that he can’t do it. He’s been hamstrung by injuries and players who I think haven’t been having him from the start. I expect lots of them wanted to keep Ange and weren’t going to have the next bloke. But some of the coaching has been poor. We don’t attack effectively, don’t press as one and the effort levels are pathetic. If a manager can’t get the players to improve those three things by now then they never will.

He hasn’t been good enough, but I don’t hate him like I’ve hated other managers of ours by the time they’ve left. Plus I just didn’t want to sack yet another manager, I’m bored of it. He’s just not the right man for the job. Those who appointed him need to go to.

He and them have let us all down.

We certainly need someone of firm character.

Doesn’t mean they can’t put an arm around the shoulder of players that need that, but they also need to be firm when it comes to the pruning and weeding out of unsuitable players!

We need a coach of the right mentality.

:pochsmirk:
Lol Its to late for a manager like that this season. We just have to survive, passion and drive is the only thing we can improve on

Think I've said before when we hired him my old man phoned me and said don't what to make of that. I just thought it was a mediocre appointment. Imo levy hired as his legacy as we finished 17th and was a safe pair of hands for the season. It's actually got worse.

I don't think anyone can have too much sympathy for Frank.

Not when you consider what would have been a realistic ask.

He is on a hefty salary which rightly comes with responsibility and expectations

He has needed to bring on-field cohesion, probably floating around 5th to 8th in the PL, and creating a strong bond between players.

Style of play in line with something Spurs fans have been sort of used to would not have mattered if we were doing okay, especially at home.

None of that has happened, and after a reasonably bright start, it's crumbled, with obvious signs of discontent within the camp.

There is nothing to be confident about and zero footballing reason in keeping Frank for a moment longer

The waiting merely prolongs the fans' pain.

I'm shocked at how bad it has become after the good start to the season. But, in my opinion it would have been so different if he had got a couple of goalscoring attacking players in the team. We are so average up front that I don't think anyone is getting anything out of these players. Desperatly need some quality up front and then things might change. If the team don't think they're going to create or score then it rubs off across the team. None of those attacking players look like they're going to score a goal.

Excellent post.
I don't think I've been so disappointed in a manger for a long time.

I honestly thought he was an intelligent and tactically astute manager.
Instead he's been utterly awful and seemingly alienated both his players and the fans.

Since the gooner game he abandoned one of his terrible plays when vicario hoofed the balled in the opponents box from just inside our half. That was awful to watch and pub stuff. Tbh I think some of the players thought some of his plays were just basically shit. The players don't respect him.
