I haven't done anything wrong Mrs P. Just not a happy house at the moment. If I do something, it's wrong. If I don't do anything, I should have. Just rather be out at the moment. My only release is becoming as bad as what I'm trying to get away from.
Oh, I'm so sorry for making light of a horrible situation. I know what it's like when you'd rather be anywhere than home, so I do sympathise. I hope you get things sorted, as believe me, it's not the way to live in the long term x

Yeah, I don't disagree about the game yesterday to a certain extent but still not convinced about booing in the Southampton game.

The worst case of booing though was Conte's first premier league home game against Leeds and fans booed at half time. It just seems the modern thing now and I'm convinced it has an effect on the mentality of not just the players but other fans too. I don't for one second feel sorry for the players, I would just like to see a positive attitude. Even Derby County fans who's club has been run into the ground and is on the verge of extinction still manage to support their team.
I actually thought the football was worse in the Southampton game. I was a bit pissed and didn't actually stay for the HT whistle so didn't hear it.
At least with yesterday we weren't harassed off the ball over and over and over like Southampton. And they made it look easy. That game had loss written all over it.

I think there are times where booing does work, two occasions I can think off the top of my head was Nuno's last game in charge against United where the players or club didn't have a clue where it was going which bought change with Nuno getting sacked.

The second was against Morecambe where again I think it was fair because the players were terrible that day and there was too many that didn't give a fuck which again bought change because all four of the players involved that day were shipped out.

It's really important that fans express their view in the stadium and I don't really know the phrase but you don't wanna do it so regularly that it becomes the norm and it gets to the point where no-one listens.

It’s probably a build up of frustration. We haven’t looked decent for a good while now . Our goal was also an own goal.

Our last decent performance was probably against the dippers , almost 2 months ago. Frustration builds up . Not sure you can count Leicester as a good performance even if the result was

Lester (we were all over them for most of the game... even a draw would have been a shit result!) & Brighton.

Need to increase the prices in there (edit: or make another season ticket section in another stand cheaper). Far too many people are there because it is the cheapest stand and they want a nice day out. Put the prices up and the people who really want to be there and get behind the team will find a way to afford it.

I'm lost for another way. It's shit. I had a go in the south east lower yesterday and it was much better. Less moaning and a few more singing. I'm usually in 257 and it is utterly terrible. Will move next season to somewhere where people actually want to get behind the side. Although fuck knows where that is!

Has the standing not helped matters?

Can’t agree with this. Whilst I personally don’t boo, I certainly feel the fans in the stadium deserve to vent their frustrations and booing wether you like it or not, is a way of expressing yourself in large numbers. The players completely deserve it, so don’t start feeling sorry for these pampered individuals. They are all on massive wages which we help pay for. We pay the highest ticket prices in Europe and for what ? Shit football and half hearted performances most weeks. Its been like this for 3/4 years now with the same group of losers. The fans are rightfully sick to death of being let down by everyone associated with the club.

Chant "Levy out" or protest then.....

Booing won't make the players play better.

Agreed, all it does is make things worse. Emerson was getting abuse against Southampton. I know he was shit but it started after 2 minutes. It certainly wouldn't make me to want to bust my balls for the fans.

While we were shit in the last two games, I dont think you can say the players weren't trying. That is the only time its acceptable to boo someone wearing lilywhite imo.

On the plus side, clapping sess round the pitch was a great gesture and an example of how supporting a player can loft his confidence

Fat blokes who couldn’t run for the bus love shouting abuse at footballers from the safety of their seats.

I moved from where I sat in the east stand as two guys constantly gave Bale dogs abuse when we first got him.

I never understand it tbh.

First things first, I run as much as Forrest Gump but....
You don't have to be an athlete to expect an actual, highly paid athlete, to run around a bit, chase the ball down, maybe make a move into some space.

I don't hate Royal as much as some, but he doesn't have an attacking bone in his body. He genuinely looks confused in the opposition half and holds up attacks whilst he tries to figure out where he is, why he's there and what he needs to do next.
The guy is a solid right back and does help with defence. He's just not an attacking RWB.
Problem is, Doherty is an attacking RWB. 1 in 10 games. The other 9 he's just a shit defender.

I don't recognise our 'support' any more. I was all for the new stadium at the time but what a mistake that was. We have basically turned into Woolwich/AFTV. Everything we used to hate (see any thread on this forum for details).

Another reason I won't be renewing. I'm far too old to wear trousers that stop 4" above my ankles, I like wearing socks and I couldn't grow a hipster beard if I tried.

Then you read on TFC that our current malaise is the fault of ST holders.

I thought I would be the only person wearing tweed but turned out it’s all the look with the kids these days. Trendy and I didn’t even know it.
