Well we were the most aggressive team by far. How many chance did they create? Not saying that they weren't holding back a bit but we were on top in the second half. Had their keeper not made some decent saves we would be going to the second leg with a lead. My standards are built on realism not fantasy football.
Glad to have my expectations tampered for this competition. Good for the body too to be so calm after a game we didn't win. Back to catching some sleep before the sun rises.

Not sure about Ben, he could walk in the Summer with Danso signed and Dragusin still to come back. I think I would give him a season extension though, he never lets us down and so many of our defenders seem to be made of glass.

He’s constantly being played with his back to goal (as is everyone) which means there’s no chance for a step clear to find space. By cramming both teams into the final third ish it means that no-one on our team has space to manoeuvre into.
Ironically, this frees tons of space for the oppo to counter.
I don’t know the solution, but that’s why I think most of our forward line were struggling - when they finally got the ball, they were comfortably marked - as well as being with back to goal. This then requires incredible strength and close-skill. Maybe Haaland, maybe Kane…no-one else is managing that. That’s why our attacks can from DF and MF as they’re moving forwards (and they were effectively corners)
2/3 of our forwards can’t play in this fucking shit-storm of a system. Well to be fair Mbappe would struggle under Ange.

I maintain we have 80 per cent top players. Just a manager who cant coach or develop players. Udogie dont look like hes been coached properly under Ange. Had a decent game tonight but imo on autopilot. I rate him.
Also, we won that first game at home with 3-0, the tie was basically over already. It really is an irrelevant comparison.
If Ange has savvy from tonight next week aim for bentacur for our set pieces. Its winnable next week if players play like leaders.
