1 LB we know little about other than he's more offensive that he needs to be
1 RB who is good defending but awful attacking.

1 of the middle 3 is new and needs to settle
That front 3 scored about 15 goals between them last season.
I'd be worried if that was a weekly starting 11. I'd be worried if that was a backup team in the league cup away to Boro tbh.

Royal has already done well in an inverted role last season, he can do well in this system where fullbacks aren't really creators.
I think the sentiment is that we really ought to at least try to make things work with Porro otherwise we've spent a shit load on a rather basic, back-up winger.

Starting Royal doesn't mean we won't try to make things work with Porro, just means he's performed better at pre-season so far and looks like a better fit for the system. The rest is sunk cost fallacy.
That remains to be seen......... A fan picking Emerson on TFC isn't quite the same as Ange drawing the same conclusion from just 90 mins from each.

In a financial sense we literally just signed the bloke! ....If anything I'd call that buyer's regret.
Probably something to do with Virgil Van Dijk. And when he came back not the same man after injury they failed to qualify for the CL. There is a school of thought that suggests he won't ever be the player he was again. But when he was fit at the peak of his powers he was a MASSIVE difference maker to their ability to have basically 2 or 3 defenders for the majority of a match. We don't have a VvD
Yeah obviously we have no control over Ange's decision making, we just think Emerson has done better than Porro so far in pre-season and deserve to start.
And yeah it's classic sunk cost, we need to treat him now like any other player we have, his cost has nothing to do with how he preforms on the pitch.
