Wanting to field the strongest team possible for the NLD José gave the first team a rest. Instead he sent out a team of TFC'ers to get the job done.
We went in at half time two-nil up thanks to goals from SpiderSpurs SpiderSpurs and Dr Rocktopus Dr Rocktopus with the assists being provided by myself and The Absolute GOAT The Absolute GOAT .
Mrs Perryman Mrs Perryman was in goal, but was able to sit with a G&T and enjoy the game, the CB pairing of TimothéeAtouba TimothéeAtouba and stevee stevee doing a fantastic job of making sure she wasn't troubled.
I don't know how the match finished though, I woke up at that point so didn't see the second half.

I made a complete fuck up, leading to their goal. I tried to blame TimothéeAtouba TimothéeAtouba ,but Mrs Perryman Mrs Perryman wasn't having that and gave me a klump in the earhole. Ref sent her off.
Down to 10 players when The Absolute GOAT The Absolute GOAT missed a penalty.
TimothéeAtouba TimothéeAtouba then scored an own goal past replacement keeper MouraThat MouraThat .
Game finished 2-2.

I imagine we rest Hojbjerg for this one and play a Sissoko/Ndombele two. To have given Ndombele and Hojbjerg both some kind of rest before the NLD.

Doherty and Davies as full backs, Dele might come back in too.

Not entirely sure we'll go with Kane, Son etc. Certainly not with a NLD coming up - I think Mourinho will be happy with the depth for this one and smash out the big guns if we need to in the second leg.

Aslong as we aren't pathetically coached in a way that allows the opponents to pressure our defence and we ourselves don't put pressure on our own defence we'll be fine regardless of our centre backs.

Plenty of worse centre back pairings have beaten better teams.

I didn't say they were competent. I said if we don't put pressure on our own defence by sitting back and allowing a team on to us. We'll be fine.

The less they have to do the better. There's a reason City have the best defence in the country. Without having the best defenders.

Perhaps but they’re better than ours

Doherty Sanchez Dier and Davies is an accident waiting to happen no matter who is in midfield

That's the Zagreb back line - and it's "is" as I'm talking about back lines, not individuals.

Rodon isn't registered for a start.
